Excellent.... hope they last
Pros: The pictures clearly state all the relevant information, including the lumen output, so I have no earthly idea what the person who wrote the two negative reviews below is talking about. Unlike him, I actually own this product, four of them in fact. The quality of the light is surprisingly good. In fact it looks like a 40-watt soft white incandescent - mounted in a chandelier, I doubt I could even tell the difference.
Cons: None that I can report now.
Overall Review: Well, they look great. Hope they last a long time. If they do, then it's a bargain.
Avoid - cheap for a reason!
Pros: Cheap.
Cons: Worked poorly for several weeks, frequently dropping connection, just as another reviewer said. Then today it just died. Doubt it's even worth trying to obtain warranty service.
Overall Review: It's cheap because it's junk. Really regret that I didn't pay a bit more and get something from a respected manufacturer.
Good value
Pros: Cool Quiet Cheap Works well
Cons: None, assuming it lasts a while.
Overall Review: Since I doubt that I'm the only person who now uses a switch like this for home use, I wish they made a model that had the ethernet ports in the rear, while keeping the lights on the front, as is the case with most home grade switches. This sits on a shelf with my home theater gear, and having the cables come around to the front is awkward, no matter how i position it. Still a great value though at the price I paid.
Sorry to say...
Pros: Huge game, countless quests, lots of fun.... when it works.
Cons: As much as I love what this game has to offer, the simple fact is that when a game crashes continually it's just no fun. I have the latest patch, and I've tried all the work-arounds. But when you've been in-game long enough, it seems the amount of data your character must haul around becomes too much, you crash, and the PS/3 must be restarted. My friend playing the PC version has no such issues.
Overall Review: It's really too bad, since so many aspects of the game are great. The only good news is that I was able to play through a good portion of the quests before the crashing issue made it impossible to continue. Maybe they'll fix it, but I wouldn't buy it until they do.
A Fun and Useful Toy
Pros: Works fine, cheap.
Cons: At this price and for casual purposes, none.
Overall Review: Always wanted one of these, and the shell shocker price was right. Handy for a quick and easy check of refrigerator and freezer temperatures. Checked the wife over carefully to make sure she's within specs.
Fabulous Receiver
Pros: This receiver has the recently enhanced version of YPAO automatic calibration, which has greatly improved the sound of my 7.2 speaker system. The channel indicators on the right side of the display now show the speakers getting output instead of the input channels. A big improvement in my opinion. I also like the brightness and readability of the blue LED display instead of the old amber one. The network capabilities and their usability are also much improved over older models.
Cons: No hard-copy manual!!! Just the PDF on a CD. I understand manufacturers wanting to save money on this, but my new TV, washer, and dryer all had paper manuals, and decent ones. This receiver lists for considerably more than any of those, and is supposed to be a premium product. It should positively include a printed manual.
Overall Review: Just when I was ready to try a Denon to see if the grass is greener over there, Newegg came out with a fantastic coupon code closeout deal on this model. Since I don't really need to extra 2 amps on the RX-A3010 it was a no-brainer to buy this for a steal. No regrets at all on my choice, and glad I bought it from Newegg.
