Most Favorable Review

Satisfied

ASRock P55 Pro LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock P55 Pro LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Lots of connectivity, good layout. Space under top 2.0x16 slot that leaves room for GPU cooling without blocking other connections (why don't all of them come like this).

Cons: HD audio header with front panel cable on Antec 200 case.

Overall Review: I installed the RAM before I put the board in the case, because there is no support under the ram when mobo is in case. I will probably not use all of the PCI/PCIe slots on this during the life of the PC, but it's nice to know that I could, because none of them are blocked. If you are building a system based off a motherboard like this or higher, you probably have a dual slot card and not putting anything to get blocked under the slot that holds the graphics seems like a no-brainer. Good job ASRock motherboard designer! My system: Core i5 750 ASRock P55 Pro 4 gigs Crucial DDR 1333 ATI 4850 512 MB Antec 200 case 380 Watt earthwatts PSU Samsung F3 500 Gb

Most Critical Review

Huge foam pieces

KOSS Black iSpark 3.5mm Connector Canal Stereo Earphone
KOSS Black iSpark 3.5mm Connector Canal Stereo Earphone

Pros: Pretty good sound, mic and button seem to work well.

Cons: The foam for these are too big for my wife to fit comfortably in her ears. Or in my ears for that matter.

Overall Review: I thought the earpieces looked pretty small in the pic's they have on newegg, but unless you have big ear holes or want a really tight fit, you are best looking elsewhere.

So Simple, so fantastic

Pretec I-Disk Micro Reader S10
Pretec I-Disk Micro Reader S10

Pros: Very inexpensive, portable, reliable and functional.

Cons: can get lost somewhat easily

Overall Review: Great little device. Directly from micro SD to USB.

DDR2 and 3 have the same # of pins

Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT51264BA160B
Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CT2KIT51264BA160B

Pros: Great memory, good reviews on tech sites

Cons: Unlearned people put reta.rded reviews on new egg

Overall Review: DDR2 and DDR3 both have 240 pins

They should have made it a mATX size/form factor

Antec Two Hundred Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Antec Two Hundred Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Great air flow-even with the fans set to low they are blowing pretty cool air. Plenty wide for big/long GPU card. Like the bottom mounted PSU setup.

Cons: The HD audio cable does not reach the HD audio header on my ASRock Pro P55 mobo. I only need like an inch more and it would make it.

Overall Review: If they had made this case a micro ATX height the cable would have been the perfect length (or if I had just purchased a mATX mobo, but I shouldn't have to if buying an ATX case. I have an extra sound card lying aroun that I will probably install just so the silly thing will reach and I can have front audio.

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ/ST500DM005 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ/ST500DM005 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Very fast and pretty quiet for a mechanical drive. Benchmarks fairly well. (5.9 in Windows 7 experience index, see also Tom's hardware, Bittech.net, etc.).

Cons: ...none really

Overall Review: Until SSD's reach under $100 for a reliable one that can hold an OS and a couple of core programs, drives like these are the cat's proverbial pajamas. I did a lot of research before getting this drive. Even if another one is marginally faster, I am glad I went with this one. Fantastic performance/capacity/price balance.
