High Quality Gamer for a Low Price

EVGA 123-YW-E175-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI FTW ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA 123-YW-E175-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI FTW ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Most important pro is that this motherboard has 2 full 16x PCI express slots. Nice layout with no issues installing 4 gigs of ram with a large 8800 gts 512 mb video card. $190.00 is an awesome price for this quality board with a lifetime warranty. I fully recommend this board. The stability of this board has been flawless as well and though I haven't experimented yet, this board is supposed to be very OC'able.

Cons: The first board I recieved was defective. The status check codes located on the HEX display at the bottom of the motherboard read out FF constantly and the system would not POST. I immediately RMA'ed and recieved a new board which worked flawlessly. So if you get the same issue, just RMA.

Overall Review: This board is a great buy for the performance and quality. Get them ASAP because EVGA is already sold out! Here is my system: EVGA 750i SLI "FTW" Intel e8400 3.0 ghz processor EVGA 8800 GTS KO 512 MB OCZ Reaper 2gb x 2 PC-8500 ram Xigmatek 750 watt power supply WD 250 gig hard drive Samsung 20x DVD-RW

Great Power and Stability for a Great Price

XIGMATEK MC NRP-MC751 750 W ATX12V Ver.2.2 / EPS12V Ver. 2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
XIGMATEK MC NRP-MC751 750 W ATX12V Ver.2.2 / EPS12V Ver. 2.92 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Very high stability ratings. Nice modular options. Review of 1000 watt version available at anandtech.com . Power supplied fired right up first time and runs an intel e8400, an 8800 GTS 512 mg KO, Evga 750 sli ForTheWin, and with hard drives and dvd burner with no problem. It does have the optional 8 pin connector for powering video cards needing 8 pins. Modular connections are nicely labeled. The power supply looks high quality for the hard core gamers, not cheap as may be expected by the price. Large 140 mm fan for cooling and nice blue light lights up the inside of the PC nicely for those with glass or plexiglass side panels. The reason this power supply is low cost is that Xigmatek is fairly new to the PS market and the only way to get their foot in the door is by making a good reputation selling high quality power supplies. Their price will probably rise as their popularity rises. One sure seller for many gamers is the LIFETIME warranty. I recommend this PS to all.

Cons: No Sata cables provided, so the Sata cables you get won't match the cables of the power supply. I don't think most power supplies come with Sata cables though. It does have the cables necessary to power the Sata drives though.

Overall Review: This power supply is also very quiet. Video card fans are much louder than this power supply so no worries there.
