Great ultrabook but missing parts

ASUS Intel Core i5 3rd Gen 3317U (1.70GHz) 4GB Memory 128 GB SSD Intel HD Graphics 4000 11.6" Touchscreen 1920 x 1080 Convertible Ultrabook Windows 8 64-Bit TAICHI21-UH51
ASUS Intel Core i5 3rd Gen 3317U (1.70GHz) 4GB Memory 128 GB SSD Intel HD Graphics 4000 11.6" Touchscreen 1920 x 1080 Convertible Ultrabook Windows 8 64-Bit TAICHI21-UH51

Pros: I love this design. Dual Role LCD sceens. Fast processor and dual USB 3.0 and bluetooth. Very slim comparable to other ASUS single screen 11.5 laptops.

Cons: The front screen is a little dim for outdoor usage. The inside LCD is not touchscreen. One troubling omission, my unit did not include the ASUS Stylus as indicated in the description and pictures. It did not include the VGA cable or the Ethernet cable. These can be purchased on ASUS website for around $99.97 plus shipping. I am trying to remedy this through Newegg.

3 out of 4 aint bad?

Seagate FireCuda Gaming SSHD 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive ST2000DX002

Pros: Interesting new Tech. This is a hybrid cylinder based hard disk drive pair with solid state memory buffer.

Cons: I ordered 4 of these drives. But only 3 work. The other one will not power on, spin up or boot. When connected it's just dead. Sort of disappointed that 1 out of 4 is dead. Not good odds. I ordered another one after returning this one. Fingers Crossed.

Great Value, Tricky set up for Mac

Pros: Great Price for eSata RAID enclosure and eSata Host Bus Adaptor. Has control via web GUI and allows scheduled maintenance and email of errors/warnings. Should be great for video editing with data redundancy. Read saftey net.

Cons: Plastic front grill Poor instructions for Mac, CD has every product they make, so finding the right combo of manual and drivers was difficult. RAID 5 initialization took 23 hours with 7.5TB drives. Resulted in 5.5TB usable. No on board RAID controller...you have to use Rocketraid card to control the disks. I was led to believe this unit had onboard hardware RAID controller with a dip switch setting to choose RAID level. It does not. At first I was upset about this, but I am giving it a chance. So far the RR622 card seems to be running fine.

Overall Review: For Mac users, load the Mac driver in on the TowerRaid CD in the folder called "drivers" first. Then use the WebGUI_management installer. "Raid Monitoring Utility" is NOT for this unit. Speed Tests in RAID 5 with 5 X 1.5 TB Seagate drives. AJA System Test Write 95.5 MB/sec 134.4 MB/s Read with 512MB File.
