Awesome External HDD

WD My Book Essential 2.0 500GB USB 2.0 3.5" External Hard Drive WDH1U5000N
WD My Book Essential 2.0 500GB USB 2.0 3.5" External Hard Drive WDH1U5000N

Pros: Wonderful HDD. My Vista computer DID recognize this hard drive with no problem. Been using it heavily since with no problems at all.

Cons: None

Overall Review: A bit pricey for me, but still a great price for as big and fast a drive as this.

Most Critical Review

Don't last very long.

Phanteks SK140 DRGB PWM FAN - 140mm Fan, High Airflow Nine-blade Design, DRGB Lighting, Rubber Dampening Washers - Black
Phanteks SK140 DRGB PWM FAN - 140mm Fan, High Airflow Nine-blade Design, DRGB Lighting, Rubber Dampening Washers - Black

Pros: Pretty. Fair amout of airflow, especially for the price.

Cons: Bearings in three of the seven Phanteks fans I installed are making obnoxious noise and it's only been a bit over a year with the computer only being on for a few hours a day. Didn't last as long as my Asiahorse fans lol.

Overall Review: Okay for RGB on a budget, but expect to replace them soon.

Great PS

Rosewill RV2-600 600 W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V SLI Ready Power Supply
Rosewill RV2-600 600 W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V SLI Ready Power Supply

Pros: Plenty of power for a entry level gaming computer. It got here, I plugged it in and it fired right up. It's been running almost 24/7 since it was installed and so far, no hiccups or crashes. Not a bad price either.

Cons: Not modular. No lights. That's about it.

Overall Review: I kinda wish it had two fans, but it's just personal preference; the one is keeping it plenty cool by itself.

Amazing CPU

AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition - Phenom II X4 Deneb Quad-Core 3.0 GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Processor - HDZ940XCJ4DGI
AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition - Phenom II X4 Deneb Quad-Core 3.0 GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Processor - HDZ940XCJ4DGI

Pros: Fast processor at the stock 3GHz. Faster at 3.6GHz overclock. This baby overclocked straight to 3.6 without any problems. No over-voltage or anything required.

Cons: Runs pretty hot with stock AMD cooling. Kinda expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for here.

Overall Review: I put one of the Corsair Hydro H50s on it and brought it down to 27C at idle and only slightly above 50C at full load. I was skeptical at first whether this CPU would work on my older board due to AMD having it listed as Socket AM3 only on their website, but I decided to take the chance based on other reviews here and I have to say, no regrets here!

Nice and cheap.

Scythe SY124020L 40mm Case Fan
Scythe SY124020L 40mm Case Fan

Pros: Didn't cost much. Work fine.

Cons: Not as much airflow as I hoped, but plenty to get the job done. A bit loud running at full, but not a problem for me.

Overall Review: Used two of these to replace the fans in my old server's power supply when one of them died.

Great CPU

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ - Athlon 64 X2 Windsor Dual-Core 3.2 GHz Socket AM2 125W Processor - ADX6400CZBOX
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ - Athlon 64 X2 Windsor Dual-Core 3.2 GHz Socket AM2 125W Processor - ADX6400CZBOX

Pros: Fast CPU, love it for games, 3D imaging, etc. I have never had any problems with this chip.

Cons: Runs a bit hot, but I had plenty of spare room in my case so I threw a 150mm heatsink and a 120mm fan on it and it idles at around 38 degrees C.
