Worth every penny
Pros: True 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound. Excellent sound quality, best in a set of headphones so far. Extremely comfortable even when worn for extended periods. Very unique design. Extra long chord doesn't tether you to the computer. Toslink digital input works perfect with my motherboard. Very decent bass response for headphones. Removable microphone. Microphone volume/mute controls included on the in-line volume adjust. Lightweight for a headset with so much in it. They fit around my huge head with no problem. Fairly simple plug and play with windows vista, but the cords may be a bit of a hassle for some. I only used these for a week, but I used them for hours at a time playing Left 4 Dead, Halo 3, and watching DVD's. I have to say, that I am very impressed.
Cons: The mic doesn't adjust very much. In-line volume adjust gets fairly warm sometimes, bit unnerving. Xbox 360 mic adapter has a LOT of static in the speakers when attached for some reason. Removable mic feels flimsy and fragile Seperate adjustments for game audio and voice with the Xbox it a bit annoying. LOTS OF CORDS 2 AC adapters!!! Does not come with carrying pouch like it said before.
Overall Review: I purchased the Tritton AXPro gaming headphones to give myself a better experience when playing FPS shooters on my PC, and my Xbox 360. I currently have fairly low end, cheap Phillips stereo speakers w/ subwoofer as computer speakers, and I have my Xbox connected to my computer monitor. The speakers were not cutting it in terms of sound quality. I recently moved, and I used to have surround sound, but I live in a small dorm room now. So having large speakers would be a bit impractical. These headphones are a great idea for people who love to have the upper hand in games by using 5.1 surround sound, yet they don't have the room, or privacy to use theater surround sound speakers. If you are a gamer on the market for a nice set of gaming headphones, look no further.
New or Old, it is still a SideWinder product :-p
Pros: Very customizable. I could return it for a better mouse...
Cons: -Looks and feels like a cheap toy. - Too customizable for its own good. - Macro on the fly ability is next to useless as there is no setting to leave out pauses. That means that if you press the macro set button, press one button, wait 100ms then press another, it will input the pause, there was no way to keep it from doing that. - Different sliding feet all suck - Slide wheel feels really awkard - You have to shift your whole grip just to press the dip switch buttons which makes them useless dumb looking buttons. -
Overall Review: This is a feeble attempt for Microsoft to revive their SideWinder series of products. Buying sidewinder still means you will get something mediocre or just plain cheap junk. In this case, it is expensive junk. This mouse felt like it was forcing me to use my middle finger for the scroll wheel, and my ring finger for the right click which felt weird for me. My pinky finger had nothing to grasp on, so it ended up dragging across the pad . I hated this mouse!
Better than expected
Pros: -Extremely modular -Removable motherboard tray -Very well built -Very nice looking -Absolutely everything can be moved around -"Air Mount" HDD mounts work very well
Cons: -A little pricy for a pile of steel mesh and plastic -lots and lots and lots of screws -Almost nowhere to secure wires inside the case. Top mounted fans are mountable only on the outside of the case.
Overall Review: I was in the market to buying a new case for a long time. I was waiting for something different and new to come out, and this fit the bill. I made the mistake to read the one and two star reviews on newegg to get an idea of the worst parts about it and most of them were not accurate. The plastic used for the case was very high quality and in no way flimsy.
Logitech has never let me down yet.
Pros: Very comfortable for my type of mouse usage. DPI changing is easy to access and requires no change in grip to adjust DPI settings. Different DPI profiles with the convenient option to set a profile to different programs makes switching from playing a video game, to surfing the internet very easy without changing the DPI. Turbo glide scroll wheel is very useful at times. Customize the weight to suit your needs. Very nice looking style to it.
Cons: The "Wide Load" grip's satin coating started to bubble up and fall apart about a month or so after using it.
Overall Review: I settled on buying this gaming mouse after going through 3 other gaming mouses including the Microsoft Sidewinder, which is like using a cheap plastic toy to play video games with. This mouse is very comfortable for the gamers who use their fingertips to click because it is a fairly short mouse. Which gives you the option to use your fingertips to move and click rather than your whole wrist. This mouse
Third time's a charm.
Pros: Perfect size for my medium sized hands. Perfect shape for gaming and general use. Wide Load grip is very comfortable. DPI controls are perfectly placed so you can change the sensitivity on the fly without having to change your grip much. I fell in love with the MicroGear scroll wheel with my last mouse. Super smooth gliding. Customisable weights makes gives it the perfect feel. I am picky with my mouses and this does not dissapoint me ANY. +1 Logitech again! I can always rely on buying logitech products and getting only quality!
Cons: The 2 thumb buttons could have been placed more to the front of the mouse to make them more assessable. The custom LED color function isn't as useful to me as 4 settings for 1 profile is good enough for me.
Overall Review: I went through THREE different gaming mouses to finally decide upon this one. The first mouse I bought was the Razer Copperhead mouse that I bought from my friend who used it for less than a month. Don't get me wrong, that mouse is amazing, and Razer lives up to the hype of having great products. Unfortunately I had to give it back to him. I bought a Microsoft Sidewinder soon after that and I owned it for only 2 days I instantly HATED it. It felt like Microsoft designed the grip of this mouse for a robot. So I returned it and bought this smaller Logitech G9 instead. It is amasing! I am a very heavy gamer, I play FPS like Team Fortress 2 and I can switch between a fast dpi with a pyro, to a slower dpi for a sniper in a snap. Also RTS games are great because along with hot keys, the medium 1600 dpi setting is perfect for pressing buttons and a faster dpi for squaring off units. This mouse is the bomb!!!
