Relly nice for HTPC.
Pros: Saw this on sale and took a chance as no others had reviewed it, but for $20 refurbished, had to take a chance. This thing is great - tracks accurately from across the room, supports 2 finger scrolling, nice feel and weight to unit as well. I've been looking for a solution for the HTPC input; tried and done away with several other options with on board keyboards and track pads, but they all felt flimsy or were awkward to handle. Now using the on board keyboard to type (which really, you don't need to do too much with an HTPC) and the cursor movement is steady and precise. Love it.
Cons: Wish it was a LITTLE bit bigger. I'd give 4.5 start is it were an option.
Good while it lasted
Pros: Great Price. Speedy Drive.
Cons: She's Dead, Jim.
Overall Review: I, too had been wanred and had red flags buying, but the price was great and I'd had much success with Cruicial SSD's, so I took a chance. Not showing any SMART errors, but after 5 clean installs of Win 8.1 and replacing every other component in my setup and pulling my hair out for weeks, this is the culprit. Random BSOD's. Issues with drive showing up in BIOS. I thought it CAN't be the HDD; it's new, it's an SSD. Works for a bit, then BAM. Crash after crash, sometime running for days without issue, them BAM more of the same. Clean install seems to make it happy for shorter and shorter periods of time, but it just wouldn't boot or show in BIOS for the last 6 hours. Never did come back again. Windows says "Repairing" but reboots to "Insert boot disk" screen upon reboot. Tried a new C: drive and issues are gone.
Worked great for 3 months
Pros: Cheap!
Cons: Cheap!
Overall Review: These are super handy and I got a great price. Unfortunately it's only spinning up 2.5" disks and not even trying on 3.5", which makes it more or less worthless for me. Spend another $5 or $10, as I need to get in the habit of doing...
Work Great!
Pros: Really accurate control! I was pretty amazed. Never had one before, but they were a pleasant surprise for my cousins for Christmas. They've owned others and said nothing else came close the accuracy of these units.
Cons: Longer flight time, but for the $$, can't really complain.
