Excellent 8th gen i7 gaming laptop

Pros: The i7-8750h is a great upgrade from my older i7-4720mq. Runs cooler and clocks cores up/down to handle load. GTX 1060 6gb discrete graphics is up to any gaming I want to run on a laptop. Access doors for memory and 2.5" hard drive are a big improvement over older Nitro V7-791g where you had to remove entire bottom cover. Screen is very nice IPS, good color fidelity, good viewing angles. DDR4 2666 is a nice upgrade over 2400 memory. Good size weight for a gaming laptop with these specs. Not small but very reasonable for a 17.3 laptop with 6 core CPU+GTX 1060. Coming from an Acer VN7-791g I was familiar with the Acer gaming laptops and this was better than I expected in a couple features.
Cons: 256gb SSD is too small - upgraded to 512gb Intel 660p. Basically the same as the OEM drive just 2x the size. Need to add additional hard drive for movies/VM/data storage. Replacing the M.2 NVME drive is still a pain - lot's of disassembly / reassembly. But since I was familiar with this from my previous Acer VN7 I was aware of that and anticipated it since I wanted a bigger boot SSD. I am not sure why but I could not get the NVME retaining screw to release even with a good hardened steel large Jeweler's phillips head screwdriver. I applied flux and hot soldering iron for a couple minutes and eventually freed it up. More work than I expected just to remove the M.2 SSD.
Overall Review: Highly recommend this laptop - best price/performance in this class. With the special code got this for under a grand. Quite happy with the features at this price point.
Love the case form factor - fan and leds not so much

Pros: Excellent mATX form factor case. Looks great and is good for cable mgmnt.
Cons: Fan that shipped with case was supposed to be aRGB, unfortunately it's noRGB, just a plan fan w/; white blades. Also the LED front panel does not work (yes it's plugged in to molex connector along with fans that are all working).
Overall Review: No can't recommend as what I received was not what was described in product info.
Great 96gb DDR5 kit for laptop upgrade

Pros: Using my work laptop (i7-13800H+Nvidia RTX 2K *gb GPU) for local AI and need lots of RAM available Needed lower cost option since work won't reimburse this. Benchmarks show RAM is performing at full speed for 5600 rating.
Cons: No complaints except week after I bought a $13 off coupon showed up - hey them's the breaks!
Overall Review: Highly recommend. Great price/perf. parts to max out laptop memory!
Working well. Good performance and price for 2TB 4.0x4 ssd

Pros: Excellent performance Very competitive price
Cons: Sequential read was just slightly slower (~10%) than Samsung SLC 4.0x4 drive - all other benchmarks outperform it. No heatsink (though in my laptop not needed nor could fit)
Overall Review: Recommended if you are using as 2nd drive and want something reasonably priced that still has great performance.
Very good PCIe Intel 8260ac + BT 4.2 card

Pros: Does everything it supposed to. Instantly recognized at boot in Windows 10 for the Intel WiFi and the BT 4.2 adapter (hooks up internally via a mobo USB header + cable). Full 867Mbps speed on 5GHz. BT working fine so far with BT mouse and a pair of BT earbuds which sound good and get about 25-30ft range.
Cons: Long ship time. I know the product was shipping from Asia (China) but haven't had to wait this long for a shipment before. Took 19 days from time ordered until I received it. I wasn't expecting in a couple of days but thought 10-12 days would be the longest. The reason I am only docking one egg is there wasn't a significant shipping charge so not a big deal.
Overall Review: Very good PCIe x 1 ac WiFi + BT 4.2 card. Good price, but just allow for 2-3 weeks ship time if you can wait.
Excellent drive

Pros: The drive is fast and reliable. Cost per GB is outstanding. Arrived quickly.
Cons: No cons that I have found. Everything works great and faster than I expected. For those in the know about QLC the long term reliabilty question is the main concern, but I am using it as a drive for a home laptop and have no concerns about heavy enterprise type use 24x7. I can say that I never intend to fill one of these drives up more than 60-70% percent due to the performance hit as the SLC cache gets used up, but that is a general practice for all SSD drives I own anyway.
Overall Review: Five stars based on price and performance. As an electrical engineer I was a little leary of QLC based flash memory but I read more and understood the tradeoffs. Unless I was running this drive in a high use business setting I wouldn't hesitate to buy another 660p QLC drive if the price was right. I have seen some erosion recently of the price break offered by these 660p drives over the faster MLC/TLC competition, but if I am saving more than 25%-30% over those drives I would stay with the 660p.
Excellent product at fantastic price.
Great seller, fast delivery and product was perfect as described.
