Solid CPU
Pros: Fast. Works as expected, fairly cool with the stock HS. I have 2 such processors in 2 machines.
Cons: [echo]Whomever designed the heatsink retention system needs a good beating[/echo]
Overall Review: Overclocked the newest to 3.2GHz with no voltage change. Left it at 3.06GHz though, I prefer stability over the illusion of speed. Will try to push more as the system proves to be stable as it is.
Just OK
Pros: GB card, gets good speeds
Cons: High CPU usage on the system during transfers
Good card
Pros: Easy to install - Win7 64-bit detected and installed it automagically. Does what it's supposed to do for me (2 serial ports). Haven't tested the parallel port but I have no reason to suspect anything wrong.
Cons: Wish the parallel port was on the secondary bracket as an option, not the serial ports. But maybe that's just me.
Overall Review: Connectors can be reversed (saw other complaints). However pin 1 *is* marked on the board so if you pay attention you'll get it right from the first attempt.
Very Good
Pros: Very good performance, QoS (GameFuel), GB router. Managed to get 32M/4.6M with it (just like with the PC conncted directly to the modem).
Cons: LEDs are too bright
CHEAP
Pros: 19", relatively inexpensive
Cons: -horrible picture (looks like 256 colors at best when set to 24bpp, 16bpp is unusable). The issue has been reproduced on 10 monitors running on 10 different machines. Only good in an office environment if not showing pictures. -poor speakers -no height adjustment -stuck pixels - all 10 units had some
Overall Review: Do yourself a favor and stay away from it.
Good, but not for overclocking
Pros: Runs great at advertised speeds. Decent price for the quality.
Cons: Does not overclock well, had to set 2.5-3-3-6 to overclock more than 5% (a Corsair 2x512M kit that I had before could easily go 10% at 2-3-3-6).
Overall Review: If you want to overclock look at something else, otherwise a good choice.
