how to get digital out sound!

Pros: After searching eastbay and google fruitlessly for the 4-pin to SPDIF out adapter (optical or not) for the 4-pin SPDIF header on this mobo, I finally found the answer: Basically all you do is connect the SPDIF_out pin and the GRND wires to a simple RCA jack, and there you go!
Cons: obviously FOXCONN putting and advertising a SPDIF-out header on the mobo but not selling the requisite adapter.....
Careful - maybe Prescott incompatible

Pros: Nicely put together, good cable routing, easy set up
Cons: I got a MB rev 1.4, which is incompatible with Prescott CPUs.
Overall Review: Good if you have old 400 Mhz Celerons or P4s, if you're using Celeron-D's or Prescott P4's be warned - only board rev 1.5+ are compatible, and I got a 1.4
Quiet and tall!

Pros: this is the same as the Alpine 64 but cheaper for some reason. Fits socket 754 CPUs no probs, just remove that little plastic cage thing - the included thermal paste keeps my A64 x2 3800 cool, and its really quiet!
Cons: Pretty tall, but not very wide. Likely too tall for most small form factor cases, but nice and quiet. I had to cut a strut about the CPU in my Microfly case to get this guy to fit.
Nice...but wierd IDE?

Comments: Ordered one of these 2 weeks ago with a 2.4Ghz Northwood Celeron. Very quiet, never assembled a SFF PC before but it went relatively well. Strange thing is I couldn't get the PATA IDE HD and DVDRW to both be detected using the supplied IDE cable (or any other cable). It only works if both IDE devices are on seperate cables, then the BIOS 1005 detects them as master/slave. Perhaps this barebones was designed to have the SATA as the master IDE device. Otherwise great. Fast, quiet, a good media PC.
