It only gets better
Pros: small, power efficient. All games have a free component, try before you pay. The XBMC has worked great for playing media. Most games are cheap. NESemu is fun and supports Wii controllers.
Cons: No Netflicks or GooglePlay. Other streaming services available. Not much space once you get into the larger games, but now supports external storage.
Overall Review: I was a Kickstarter backer. It has only gotten better with time, and well worth $100. There are work-arounds to install android apps to the device, and OUYA encourages hacking of their device.
hit and miss
Pros: Cheap and affordable, seems to work fine with HP computers and laptops
Cons: Compatibility is unreliable. It has to do with a clock speed or something on the usb port. I have had multiple of these HP design of various sizes with same results. Won't work on one (model) machine, but will work on another. For that matter, it may work on a non-functional machine through a hub, or even can get different results on the same machine with a different OS. But the results are always repeatable, in the same combination of hardware and software. My business now discourages the purchase of HP brand flash drives.
Overall Review: If you browse HP's website you'll see a mix of high and low ratings, mostly praising price and working, other distressed that they never had functioned. If you have an HP machine, you're pretty much guaranteed to have it work. You might get lucky and have this work on your set-up. But if you move around to a lot of different machines, I would avoid this.
What are they complaining about?
Pros: Works as advertised, I guess.
Cons: The (2nd player) generic (high end) controller I ordered separately does not work in ps2 mode. Just ordered an official ps3 controller to see if it resolves issue (the controller that came with it works perfect)
Overall Review: I do not use this system heavily. It was meant as a second system to play my PS2 games and get some new games for my kids. Will be getting Lego Dimensions for this and anticipate to see how well that works.
So much happier
Pros: SFF works so much better than their BT3.0 version. That one I had to keep reinstalling the driver in windows to keep it working.
Cons: umm...
Overall Review: Reception might be better, but it is BT, meant for personal area, not how I try to play music on my PC in one room and listen to it 2 rooms away
Not a soft rubber
Pros: It fits, cheap
Cons: it is a hard case with "a little" flex. I anticipate that this will crack the first time it is dropped.
Overall Review: It said rubberized, I expected one of the flexible shock absorbing cases, not one of the ones that hari kari themselves to save your phone. If it'll do that much.
Missing Parts
Pros: Slick little box with Nvidia graphics. Windows 7 Pro. Low cost for what you get spec wise.
Cons: Wrong power adapter. Missing mounting screw. Pictured with keyboard, mouse, and remote. Came with wireless keyboard, but still trying to figure out how to connect it. Found a "compatible" laptop charger to fire it up. Bloatware. Otherwise works fine, except that without this 1 screw, I cannot mount it to its stand or with the vesa mount. No response back from NewEgg yet, but it is the holidays, and they've been good to me in the past
Overall Review: I actually care little about the missing mouse and remote. Would have been nice to have since they were pictured, but really serve little purpose in my scheme of things.
