Beautiful Screen
Pros: This monitor is great! I currently have two of them and the amount of workspace I have is more than sufficient. The colors are vivid and bright even at low brightness levels. I have had no issues with ghosting while playing FPS games or MMO's.
Cons: The Splendid presets arent that great but they give you a good start if you are too lazy like me to color correct all the time. I had an issue with some ghosting on greys but if you follow the directions in one of these reviews and turn off a setting in the menu. The problem goes away.
Overall Review: For the money nothing beats this in my opinion. I picked up my first one back in December and my second a few weeks ago. They match nearly perfectly. The difference is not even noticeable between the colors of the two screens. I highly recommend these monitors for someone who needs a bigger monitor but still wants to save money on the upgrade.
Great Card!
Pros: This card is GREAT! I have a single card running right now but I'm considering getting another one for SLI setup. I bought this because I am an engineering student and MATLAB now supports CUDA. Considering that this card has more cores as the 460 and a bit more memory. This card was the right choice for me. I bought this for a lower midrange computer since my craptop died on me and I wanted to be able to run CAD/simulation software as well as play a few of the newer games out now. It runs METRO 2033 full features at 1080p no problem (It's the best monitor I have right now) around 30-45 fps (Which is tolerable for me). Also, It overclocks very nicely using MSI afterburner. I got about a 35% boost in clock speeds and performance with only 2-3 degrees(c) increase in temperatures. Also, I hate those standard "Blocks of Plastic" that videocards look like now a days. So this custom heatsink adds some eyecandy to my case.
Cons: I would say the fact that the fans are NOT controllable whatsoever is kind of annoying but they don't run too loud to the point where it's bothersome. Also, Those fans do not push air out the back of the case, the port side does but the other side pushes hot air onto my HDD. It wasn't hot enough to cause any damages but I'm a cautious person. Also, the HDMI mini port imo is in a bad location. It seems a lot of people's cases get in the way of the adapter to fit in the port. I didn't deduct an egg since I don't use that port but it can pose a problem to those that would use it.
Overall Review: All in all, this card is worth the price (if under 200) and I will probably end up getting another one in the near future for when I upgrade my monitor.
