Nice card for 140 dollars
Pros: handles high resolutions well. decent cooler for a slight overclock. low temps. (80 degrees celcius under heavy load with oc)
Cons: pcie power sockets are in a wierd place where you will need to bend your wires to not have them not shoved against the side of the case. no egg deduction for this as its not that big of a deal.
Overall Review: got this card to oc to 850 core clock and 1100 mhz ram.. probably could go farther but this thing doesnt need it for what i do. crysis 1600 x 1200 very high = 20-45 crysis 2 1600 x 1200 hardcore = 30-60 battlefield bad company 2 highest settings 1600 x 1200 = 45-75 GTA4 1600 x 1200 medium = 25-35 Windows 7 Experience Index scores = 7.6/7.6 System = windows 7 professional x64 biostar n68s3+ motherboard amd athlon ll 640 quad core @ 3.1ghz 4gb (2x2) ddr3 @ 1333 sapphire radeon hd 5830 1gb ddr5 @ 850/1100 550w ocz fatal1ty psu 80 plus certified will post again some day on the longevity of the card.
fast but hot
Pros: fast in games & good benchmarks maxes everything
Cons: very hot running card. i have this card running in a nzxt beta series case with 5 120mm fast including one blowing air directly on the card and still see load temps as high as 92c with the fan set to 50%. anything over 50% and this thing is painfully loud. i looked up the max temp for the 6950 and it is 95c so xfx is cutting it close with this one. bad cooling design.
Overall Review: overclocking is out of the question. i have to set the fan manually in order to prevent shut downs after gaming periods of only 30-60 minutes. i now set the fan to 63% and can tolerate the noise. with this fan setting i have seen the card hit 85c which is still high but acceptable for the price/performance. get different brand or aftermarket cooling
awesome processor
Pros: so much overclock room unlockable cores (1 in my case, making it x5) unlocked multiplier
Cons: it would be rediculous to have a con
Overall Review: i have this chip running these specs fsb = 200 multiplier = 20 nb & ht = 2600 mhz frequency = 4ghz idle temp = 17-19 load temp = 35-38 i decided not to make use of the extra cores right now as its powerful enough at these clocks and unlocking cores will make temp readout programs useless.
Nice CPU Cooler for under $20
Pros: big fan big heat spreader cools really well
Cons: none that i know of yet

great psu
Pros: 80 plus certified. modular. Giant fan for good cooling. led lighting. came with carrying case for cords that not being used.
Cons: really none!
Overall Review: i bought this psu for 69.99, i could have gotten a psu with higher watts but this psu is 80 plus certified and has 25a on both +12 volt rails. ocz is a great company and when you combine them with newegg you get great service overall. biostar n68s3+ motherboard amd athlon ll 640 quad core @ 3.1ghz 4gb (2x2) ddr3 @ 1333mhz sapphire radeon hd 5830 1gb ddr5 @ 850/1100 550w ocz fatal1ty 80 plus certified psu some hard drives, some fans, and a dvd burner
Worth the money for sure
Pros: 1 GB DDR3 and 320 stream processing units for 65 bones.. this thing plays crysis on high and all other games i have tried very nicely.. im not gonna lie an upgrade is in the near future for this card. however its great for budget gaming builds..
Cons: none at all.
Overall Review: i have had this card for over a year and its just as quiet as the day i got it.. performs admirably.. like i said my budget build runs crysis on high and all other games i have tried with great results...
