very nice board
Pros: Easy to overclock Bulldozer ready Looks very nice in a case that has the inside painted black 2 x16 PCIe2.1 slots
Cons: The second x16 slot blocks the only PCI slot so my wireless card will have to go when I buy another 6870. The BIOS is not the best I've seen but it works
Overall Review: My inwin track case looks very sexy with this board. They go well together. Overall this is a great board. I was looking at the similarly priced MSI 990fx board and decided to go with this one. I'm glad I did.
Decent...but not good enough
Pros: Pretty good audio quality. Mic quality is average.
Cons: Hurts your ears after extended use (1 hour+) The side with the mic goes in and out, after about 6 months of use. I could get it to work again by readjusting the retractable mic. After 9 months the mic went out, which is why i'm typing this now.
Overall Review: Go get a name brand microphone. It'll be worth it.
Cons: Update: I checked the rebate status on their website. Apparently someone from their company OPEND MY REBATE, and placed a barcode for an ASUS router (ASUS gx1005b) on my rebate form in place of my proof of purchase. I don't even own the asus router nor the one it labels. There is some FRAUD going on within XFX, or the rebate center that processes their rebates. I still want my $30.
It's alright,..not that great
Pros: Low profile so it will fit in cases with larger side fans 2 fans in a push pull configuration
Cons: Very hard to install Does not cool very well Screws are hard to get to...and they do not really fit into my cooler base (Had to use my own screws) The bracket that goes on the back of the mother board is a pain. I had to grind 2 flaps off that were meant for intel chips just to get this thing to fit because of my case.
Overall Review: I have reseated this thing 4 times and I cannot get my temps below 38C idle. I'm using MX-2 and the 5mm pea technique. I have the push fan blowing at my exhaust fan to blow out the heat easier and my temps are still bad. In Win track case. In my old pc i had a cooler by scythe which kept me at 28C idle. Overall this thing is a pain. I would not recommend it to anyone.
it works, but doesn't make sense
Pros: Looks nice and sleek Heavy It works Modular
Cons: Short CPU and main ATX connector Only 2 PCI express 6 pin connectors
Overall Review: This is a nice PSU. I bought it to replace the hec 750 watt that blew up on me. One thing about this PSU that makes absolutely no sense to me is the PCI express connnectors. First of all, they are on second cords, with 1 connector on each cord. Why not put 2 on both?? Second of all, for a 700watt PSU, there should be plenty enough power to have 2 MODERN GPU's in crossfire/SLI. Therefore they should have added 4 6pin pci connectors rather than 2. So really the SLI certification means nothing because no one runs dual 9800GTX's anymore. Lastly the CPU cord. I read many reviews on here of people saying that the CPU cord is short. I thought these people were just complaining because maybe they had full towers, but that isn't the case at all. I had to stretch the thing out pretty hard just to get it to reach over my 6870 then into the socket. I dont know what i'm going to have to do when i put another card in there. Also, they didn't put the 4pin cpu and the 8pin cpu on the same cord.
Great while it lasted
Pros: Powered everything great sleeved cables cable length
Cons: Blew up after 6 months of use
Overall Review: I had a loud pop noise when i hit the power button. Nothing after that would turn it on. I'm sending this one in to get a replacement and selling it just to get a few bucks back AND buying a higher quality PSU from another company.
