Quick solution turned perfect solution

TRENDnet TEW-680MB N900 Dual Band Wireless Media Bridge
TRENDnet TEW-680MB N900 Dual Band Wireless Media Bridge

Pros: Very easy setup, great connection, speed, and range. I live in an older home where the modem and main router are in an addition above a crawl space. This device feeds my gaming consoles and my tower, and does so almost flawlessly, 10x better than any other option I've tried for this purpose.

Cons: May be a plus for some, but lightweight. I know it's a bridge, and not a brick, but with it's stand-up design, it's so light that if I don't have something behind it to counter it, a single ethernet is enough to pull it right off of the shelf. Also, with how light it is, my concern is that it wouldn't survive if that were to happen.

Overall Review: I grabbed this as a relatively cheap solution when my power line adapter and previous bridge/AP (bridge side of it could not maintain connection, hence the adapter) decided that if they were going kick the bucket, they'd go together. A quick fix for wireless to wired connection in a home where 2.4Ghz is worthless, this dual band bridge turned out to much much more than I expected, and something I'm half tempted to grab another of just so I have the extras for when this one eventually lives out it's life.

Perfect for my needs

ASUS VN289H Black 28" HDMI Ultra-Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor ,300 cd/m2 ,ASCR 80000000:1 (3000:1) Built-in Speakers, Tilt Adjustable
ASUS VN289H Black 28" HDMI Ultra-Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor ,300 cd/m2 ,ASCR 80000000:1 (3000:1) Built-in Speakers, Tilt Adjustable

Pros: Clear, bright image, good value/price at the time I bought it.

Cons: Very reflective to light

Overall Review: As other reviewers had said the stand is a bit wobbly, which you could say is a con but for where I have it and how I use it this really hasn't been an issue. It is very reflective to the point that if the light is on in the room I can clearly see my own reflection and everything behind me. That aside I love this monitor and even though at the time of writing this it is $20 higher than when I originally bought it, I just ordered a second one to get a dual monitor setup going.

Great keyboard, meh mouse

Logitech MX 5500 Revolution Black Bluetooth Cordless Desktop Standard keyboard & Mouse Kit
Logitech MX 5500 Revolution Black Bluetooth Cordless Desktop Standard keyboard & Mouse Kit

Pros: The keyboard is great. I'm a gamer so I was concerned with latency, which so long as the receiver is in a good place, there is zero issue. I don't have space for an actual desk, so I have a tower I put together hooked up to my TV, and then just the keyboard and mouse on my couch. Very light, comfortable, and great battery life.

Cons: Not really a con, but it's making me fill this in with something. In comparison to the keyboard, the mouse has no where near the functionality, or customization.

Overall Review: For my purposes, the mouse was very under-functional. Very few, and very limited customization options. I expected this, and mostly bought this for the keyboard, as I already had a Logitech G700, which I love and now have this basic one as backup while the G700 charges. Also, with the packaged software, the power button on the keyboard wasn't able to do what I wanted, which was simply to lock the computer, however, if you download an updated version of the software from Logitech, they've added that option.

Great with other DLink stuff, but otherwise, a pain

D-Link Xtreme-N Duo Wireless Bridge/Access Point (DAP-1522) Wireless N300, Dual-Band, Fast Ethernet
D-Link Xtreme-N Duo Wireless Bridge/Access Point (DAP-1522) Wireless N300, Dual-Band, Fast Ethernet

Pros: When paired with the DGL4500 router, this thing is pretty nice. Very easy to set up with the WPS, and not too terrible without (have two of this bridge, one with a busted WPS button). The main router is in an addition to the house, one bridge upstairs, one in the basement, and I'm impressed with the performance, especially with the basement unit. Through a couple concrete walls, ventilation shafts, the connection is perfect, averaging 12-15Mbps, when the direct line gets about 20.

Cons: When I first got these units I was using a Linksys WRT600N as the main router, and getting these things to cooperate with it was the second most painful experience I've ever voluntarily put myself through. Connection drops were constant, and connection was down more than it was up. This wasn't too big of a surprise though, as from my experience, most wireless devices don't play too well with competing brands.

Overall Review: Light pollution on this thing is fierce. It's dealable if you don't mind hiding the unit, or putting something in front of it.

Quite nice

ZALMAN Notebook Cooler ZM-NC2000 Black
ZALMAN Notebook Cooler ZM-NC2000 Black

Pros: It does exactly what its supposed to. I have an HP dv9825nr, which run crazy hot, and the difference this cooler has made is great. On top of it doing it's job well, it looks nice too. And as far as noise goes, even on the highest fan speed, I don't notice it whatsoever. And lastly, it's actually made sitting the laptop on my lap more comfortable, and not just because I can't feel the heat anymore, but the location of the legs on the rear of it are the perfect space apart to sit right on my knees while reducing overall contact.

Cons: It's not a huge deal, but the rubber pads to keep the laptop from sliding don't really work, but I think that's mostly just due to the difference in location between the pads on the cooler, and the pads on the laptop. Definitely wouldn't have stopped me from getting this device though.
