Don't understand all the drive failures...
Pros: Cheap, quiet, fast, reliable. Great drives.
Cons: None after more than a year in use.
Overall Review: I've been running an older 80gb version of this drive for over 2 years and 2 of these 250gb's in a RAID 0 array for over a year, all with not even a hiccup in performance or reliabilty in all that time. I don't understand why so many have seen problems with these, but they have been perfect for me...
needs a slight redesign
Pros: one end is angled- works great for the drive end.
Cons: one end is not straight- creates clearance issues on the motherboard end.
Overall Review: Previous reviewer noted this issue also, the right angle connector doesn't work so hot on the motherboard end of the cable. The best design would be one end straight and one end right angled. I hope someone at Newegg is listening...
Works good in HP server
Pros: Cheap. Fast. Easy.
Cons: Uhhh- not free?
Overall Review: We substituted this memory for the "HP recommended" memory for an ML350 G5 at a fraction of the price of the HP memory. Installed 16GB and upgraded to 64bit Srvr 2008 and it has worked flawlessly. Zero boot or lock up issues and noticebly faster than the original setup.
