Woooooooow11/21/2009 3:16:22 PM

Pros: Fast, so fast. No sound. Not even warm.

Cons: No good brackets for 2.5. Followed suggestions--duct taped in in! The price keeps going UP

Overall Review: Intel Core i7-860 OCZ Vertex Series 120GB SATA II MLC Internal SSD Caviar Black 1 TB CORSAIR DOMINATOR 8GB (4 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 Win 7 Pro 64 bit Turned it on. Posted before I could look up. Win 7 loaded in 7 minutes after serial #. If you are building a fast machine, go for it.

Very good11/21/2009 3:13:16 PM

Pros: Solid construction. Well laid-out for my 4 x 2 gig dominators and large video card. Stays cool.

Cons: None

I hate to love it11/21/2009 2:59:13 PM

Pros: Fast. Supports SSD out of the box Can finally burn ISO to CD!

Cons: I hate Microsoft and I will have to buy more Windows 7 because it is so good.

Overall Review: I still use only XP except on one Laptop that has Vista. Microsoft has always been behind the curve, and they still are. But reality requires that we live with it. At least Windows 7 is a very, very good OS. I've been waiting for its release and improvement of SSD performance (if not price) before my next build. Now I've done it (not a game, but an Adobe user): Intel Core i7-860 OCZ Vertex Series 120GB SATA II MLC SSD ASUS P7P55D Deluxe CORSAIR DOMINATOR 8GB DDR3 1600 GIGABYTE GV-R467ZL-1GI Radeon HD 4670 1GB Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB Bolted it together, turned it on....instant post. Windows 7 Pro loaded in 7 minutes after the serial #! Running 28 deg with stock cooling. I have to wait for my knees to stop shaking before I OC.

Wow1/10/2008 11:01:52 AM

Pros: Love it. Unfortunately had to order it elsewhere because Newegg was out (I love Newegg). Fast without modification. Came up immediately on Abit IP35 Pro running 2 gig crucial ballistix. 600 W Rosweill power supply in Antec 900 case.

Cons: Zip. fits extremely well in Antec 900 case

Overall Review: About to SLI 2nd card

Cons: None sof far

Overall Review: Hope it will drive second 8800GT because I'm about to SLI them

Eggcellent12/26/2007 2:24:01 PM

Pros: Well-built board with everything a gamer would need. Solid construction. Easy CPU install and stock heatsink. The antec 900 case made it easy.

Cons: SATA and PATA on board edge, but no big deal in the huge Antec case.

Overall Review: CPU 6750, 2 gigs Crucial Ballistix, XFX 8800 GT, Rosewill 600W power, Samsung 500 HD. Antec 900 case. Just purchased 2nd XFX 8800 GT to SLI. Couldn't get any 8800 GT boards on Newegg because of backorder, but everything else from here. The usual speed, excellent packing.

What a case12/26/2007 8:42:30 AM

Pros: Roomy. This case is extremely well-ventilated with large quiet fans. Good layout. Easy access. Very roomy. Looks excellent

Cons: Nitpicking: power supply on bottom of case makes reach for cables long.

Overall Review: No transfusions required. Great case at a great discount price.

Faster12/5/2007 5:01:09 PM

Pros: I have installed NOD32 on 3 computers. It was a pleasure removing the bloated antivirus programs from each of these. Allow substantial speedup of computers of recent vintage, and makes a big difference for older slower computers. I could not tell the difference in speed between NOD 32 and a total absence of antiviral software.

Cons: None

Overall Review: A real please after S**& and Mc#$#$

Don't buy it6/18/2006 7:30:51 PM

Pros: Works as antivirus checker

Cons: System hog. Slows everything down (even on 3 gigahertz system). Insufferable parental control download makes you wait (even if you are not using it). Will never buy again

Overall Review: PC-cillin is much better

Fast, cheap6/2/2006 2:20:42 PM

Pros: The price is right, very high speed. Works perfectly with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel. Can take over 1200 high res JPEGs, or over 500RAW images on one chip.

Cons: The Digital Rebel (300D) isn't fast enough for this card, although I did notice the speedup from my prior 1GB microdrive. Newer camera models will notice the difference more. Main advantaqe is extremely high speed upload to computer.

Overall Review: Newegg, as always, is fabulous at shipping.

Too good to be true, almost4/18/2006 3:27:39 PM

Pros: This machine is small. It is fast--just as advertised. Double sided page in a little over a second, B&W or color!. Jams occasionally, but I forgive it because I forget paperclips more often than it screws up. Good quality scans. The inclusion of Adobe makes this a steal.

Cons: Ugly filing software. Could have been better. NOT TWAIN COMPLIANT!

Overall Review: It is so small I can carry it from home to my office. I have bought at least 4 other scanners in the past including sheetfed $1k monstrosities that didn't work out. I am literally reclaiming square footage. I would buy one for home, too, except the demands are low once I get old my old stuff out of the way. I keep a separage Canon scanner for my photography

Terrific for negatives12/16/2004 8:56:57 AM

Comments: I have had several earlier scanners, some with slide and negative attachments. None of them came close in quality to this one. I have had slides scanned commercially with lousy results and significant $. This scanner does it all, and well.

Better than the competition12/16/2004 8:18:10 AM

Comments: I have been a long-time Symantec and McAfee user. I received a free version of PC-cillin with my Asus motherboard (bought here, of course). What a difference. Faster. Less overhead. I tossed McAfee from one of my inexplicably slower computers and installed the latest version. Voila! Highly recommended.

Decent overclocking11/2/2004 8:58:20 AM

Comments: Have a gig of this stuff. Oc'd my P4 3.0e to 3.3 so far, no problems on Asus P4P800E deluxe board. Not even a burp.

Comments: Forgot to mention the mobo in my review: Asus P4P800E Deluxe. Also from Newegg. Great board. I don't use the Raid.

Fast10/6/2004 9:36:40 AM

Comments: Upgraded from an Intel 1.6g P4. What a difference! The processor runs warm (40c) at idle and around 50c under load. When pushed to the limit occasionally 60c with stock cpu fan and heat sink. I just ordered some Arctic Silver 5 to see if there is a difference. The mobo is also fabulous. No oc'd to 3.1 and will try higher. I did a lot of research before building and came up with: P4 3.0e 1 g 3200 mem 120 g SATA Samsung drive ATI 9600xt Antec Sonata Case As usual, Newegg got it here before I ordered it.

Unbelievable price10/1/2004 9:08:22 AM

Comments: Bright, plenty fast. Good contrast. Had one dead pixel, but I had to look hard to find it.

More than I bargained for9/29/2004 9:11:01 AM

Comments: This is my 4th Princeton monitor (15,15,17, now 19 inch). No dead pixels. Very bright. Major acreage. Very good with DVD viewing. I don't game so no opinion there. I don't notice any significant ghosting. I own about 8 lcd monitors, and this is the best yet

Installed on a screwed up system1/24/2003 6:21:33 PM

Comments: I saw it was on sale and grabbed it. My teenage daughter nabbed it from me, so I helped her install it. Her computer is a 4 year old dual celeron system I build with her older brother. It has two hard drives, and 4 logical drives. It was originally an NT system, recently upgraded to XP. The disk has never been wiped in 4 years and has the detritus of everything on it, including innumerable MP3's, dead viruses, etc. Well, the card didn't work initially, but with newly downloaded drivers up it came. Now I've ordered another one for me because this is an outrageous bargain
