Fantastic NAS!

Drobo FS DRDS2A21 10/100/1000 Ethernet Port Network External Hard Drive
Drobo FS DRDS2A21 10/100/1000 Ethernet Port Network External Hard Drive

Pros: Self managing NAS box. Software plug ins give the embedded Linux OS additional capabilities if you need them, but what you don't need isn't in your way. All the functionality of a full blown server without the complicated setup and maintenance. I tried the home server route with WHS2k11 but it was just too much setup to get through. Bare in mind that I have been building and troubleshooting systems and networks for over 20 years. WHS2k11 is a whole new level of complication.

Cons: None! Why don't you have one yet?

Overall Review: I have five 2TB drives in single disk redundancy showing 7.25TB of space after distributed parity and formatting overhead. The unit is essentially a self managing JBOD NAS box with single or dual disk redundancy. That self managing function supports hot swapping of failed HDDs and automatic rebuilds.

OK, I guess

Rosewill 2 Amp 4 Port USB International Traveling Wall Charger RUC-6181 for iPhone/iPod/iPad/MP3
Rosewill 2 Amp 4 Port USB International Traveling Wall Charger RUC-6181 for iPhone/iPod/iPad/MP3

Pros: 4 USB ports, high power output. Lots of international power input adapters for travels. Charges multiple devices quickly.

Cons: Doesn't charge my iPad. The cable isn't the problem. My iPhone charges fine using the same cable. Both charging cables cables work with my iPhone and neither works with my iPad. With the North American 2 prong outlet adapter it sags and pulls half way out of the wall outlet, even without any devices plugged in.

Overall Review: Even though it doesn't like to stay plugged into a power outlet it can be used with a standard, non polarized 2 prong oval power cord. This takes the weight of the charger and plugged in devices off of the outlet.

Truly incredible battery life.

Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 14.0" Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100, Integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Windows 11 Pro,21N10000US

Pros: Haven't run any benchmarks yet, and I'm not a gamer but performance feels fine under average workloads. The first time I unplugged from the charger was on a Sunday morning. I used it all day Sunday and about 4hrs a day from Monday until Wednesday. drove a 4K monitor the whole time. Full disclosure: All use was business apps, internet and local streaming from a private server. I have always been a fan of the red cursor nub in the middle of the keyboard, back to the IBM days.

Cons: NONE! Buy it.

Overall Review: New tech, still finding my footing. So far so great.

Poor vendor, great product

Western Digital Scorpio Black WD7500BPKT 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital Scorpio Black WD7500BPKT 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Great hard drive. I refreshed my Mac Mini with a 250gb Samsung Evo 840 SSD and wanted to install an internal Time Machine backup drive using a 2nd HDD kit from OWC.. It's a little spendier than other 2.5" drives but if the numbers and reviews are right it's worth it.

Cons: Action Packaged is the WORST online purchase experience I have had in a very long time! I placed my order before Labor Day and lingered in processing forever. It was 3 weeks before I received the drive. This vendor will never see another cent of my money again. I have been a Newegg customer for 8 years and it has always been a great experience...except this purchase.

Overall Review: I did my homework for this purchase because the Mini is so difficult to work on. I only wanted it in the shop once so I chose the Samsung SSD and the WD Scorpio Black based on user reviews. Research revealed that a Time Machine drive should be 2-3 times the size of the boot drive so 750gb was the choice to keep a 250gb SSD backed up. This drive had the highest MTBF, fastest numbers and best customer reviews of any other 2.5" HDD.

A first for me

iolo System Mechanic - Download
iolo System Mechanic - Download

Pros: Seems to work as advertized. Great deal as a paid download.

Cons: Didn't notice a big improvement

Overall Review: I use my computer for internet access, photo management and document management. Pretty mundane stuff. I don't really do a lot of high risk stuff and I don't game on my system. I run Avast for security and I'm very adept at system maintenance so I wasn't expecting much. System Mechanic did report some registry errors that were fixed so for a cheap paid download I guess it was worth the price.

As Advertised

Apple recommends 3-4 times the space of your boot volume when choosing a Time Machine backup drive. This is now in service as a Time Machine drive for my 1TB MacBook Air. Tried a Silicon Power 4TB mini SSD but it wasn't up for the duty cycle. I pulled it when it got hot to the touch, before heat damage set in. That'a why I chose an enterprise HDD as a replacement.

Fantastic Seller

I have done business with Ashford a couple of times over the past year and have thought over many other offered deals. They consistently had great regular prices and the occasional awesome deal. Order processing and shipping has always been very fast.
