Pros: - Compact design
- Worked well for a couple of years
Cons: - With recent Windows 10 updates it started acting weird, even with most recent driver.
Pros: The camera is compact and low-key, shoots relatively good video, mic has been good for my purposes (video calls all day long). I like the simple "leg" that lets you prop it up on the desk or hang it from the top of the monitor.
Cons: While the camera is okay, it's been a nightmare to control. Basically it makes up its own mind about when and how to work.
For example a moment ago when I using it for a google hangout, the green light was on and the mic was working but no video. There's no way to reset the camera, neither on it or using any of the accompanying software. I even tried disabling and re-enabling the driver via Control Panel to no avail.
Pros: Works very well. High quality terminal connections with metal edges, and protection covering the release lever.
Cons: None I can think of.
Overall Review: The spec for cat6e says you shouldn't bend it too tight, e.g. around a corner radius. Not this specific product's fault, but something to keep in mind.
Pros: + Image quality and color are great (for professional graphics work)
+ Only needed a bit of calibration
+ Price is pretty good for this quality
Cons: - Black isn't really very black even at its darkest.
- Takes about 10 seconds to switch on / wake up - annoying.
- If you run the cables run through the stand you'll still see them dangling below the monitor and they make it difficult to rotate the monitor 90 deg and back.
- Wish HP hadn't put their logo top center in shiny silver...
Overall Review: Got two of these to set side-by-side, used mostly for professional graphics work, not gaming or movies. Very pleased with the color quality and brightness once calibrated (other than max darkness). No matter what I do, I can't make my two monitors to align well using the stands that came with them in the box. I guess I should get a dual monitor mount.
