Good router
Pros: The Netgear firmware works, but the range of the wireless signal wasn't very good. It seemed to hiccup when asking it for data. I took the plunge and installed the DD-WRT firmware and OS. Now it runs fine and the blue light everyone talks about is no longer lit. The range is exceptional and it doesn't hiccup. Before doing the DD-WRT changeover, read the forums and learn about DD-WRT. It is an easy change, and well worth it.
Cons: Netgear firmware and software leaves a lot to be desired. The signal was weak and you would have to wait for it to get the information you requested. Also the blue light would never go out.
Overall Review: Got it for $20 and it was well worth that. Especially now that it is running DD-WRT
Don't bother
Pros: Had great range. Easy to setup.
Cons: Will last a few months and then it dies. It is no longer listed under current products on the Rosewill website. They had a new firmware for this router, that didn't take.
Overall Review: Had one for about 6 months and it died. Sent it back and NewEgg replaced it. That one lasted about a year. Feels like it is cheaply made. Buy something else and save your money.
Fast SSD
Pros: Easy hookup and it performs like a champ. This is an older computer, that was getting slow. Took almost 80 seconds to boot before installing the SSD. After installing it, boot time went to around 30 seconds on a cold boot.
Cons: There is nothing provided with this SSD. You have to get your own screws, cable and caddie.
Gift Card
Pros: Easy to use in the store. Print it out and it will have all the information needed to use it. Also you can show them the email, so you could save paper. Spend just like money, so you save $5 for every $50 in gift cards that you get. That makes it worth 10%.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Overall Review: If you like saving money this is worth it to buy, There is no expiration date or any fees to use it.
Patch cord
Pros: Works
Cons: This cord is not long enough to connect anything, unless the router is right next to the device you are trying to connect. Also it is hard to get it to disconnect. Had to use pliers to get this accomplished. Nice that they put a protective plastic piece over the connector, but it hinders in getting in disconnected.
Overall Review: Pay more and get a better patch cord. Also get one of 2 feet or longer.
Cost conscience smart plugs
Pros: Will turn on your lights, by schedule, app and smart home devices (Echo or Google Home). Way cheaper the Belkin and TP Link similar devices.
Cons: Must get the right app for these to work. Easiest way for this is thru their website and not the app store or play store. Instructions are lacking, but get the job done. App is like the instructions, lacking.
Overall Review: Overall it's the most cost conscience plugs made. Has lots of features which I'm still learning. Instructions don't give you a lot of detail, so be prepared to play with it. If you don't mind fiddling with them, they work well. I would buy them again instead of ones made by big name companies.
Smart plugs
These plugs work with Alexa. You must download the app from their website, or pick the right one on the app store. Easier if you trust them to download it from them, as there are other apps that do the same thing, but don't work with these plugs. You can give each plug a name and tell Alexa to turn on that name, and viola it is turned on. Also you can put them in a group with the Alexa app and turn the ones on in that group. So if you had Christmas lights that you wanted to turn on, on different plugs, it would turn them all on.Setting them up was pretty straight forward. Instructions don't go into details, but get you enough info to get them working.
Just as described
I wouldn't hesitate to buy from this seller. Got my item in a timely fashion and it works flawlessly. So it's not junk they are selling. I never contacted the seller, but I contacted the maker of the item I was buying. I only had questions about the item and they answered them for me.
