ASUS P8B WS LGA 1155 Intel C206 ATX Intel Xeon E3 Server/Workstation Motherboard
ASUS P8B WS LGA 1155 Intel C206 ATX Intel Xeon E3 Server/Workstation Motherboard

Pros: Board working 24/7 since I bought it. All in all, I think this is a great MB. It is certainly better than the AsRock board that never worked and is still sitting next to me in a cardboard box after nearly a year. I am sticking with Asus.

Cons: I seem to be having some problems with the USB 2.0 ports, i.e., some seem to have quit working. I suppose an internal connector could have vibrated loose. I have lots of ports, so not that big of a problem. Everything else is working fine!

Overall Review: As for NewEgg being a decent retailer, the problem is they sell TOO MANY defective products. For example, I was going to buy a WD 2TB HDD today (on sale for 89), but the return rate is just too high. It's a hard drive and I need it to work - is that asking too much? Nearly a third of buyers gave it one star (73 NewEgg customers). Even this MB by Asus that I like a lot has 20% of buyers providing a one star review. My point: even if you do have a good return experience - I did not - we should not have to return anything (certainly not 1 out of 3 for a hard drive). Further, if whatever we buy does not work, NewEgg should take it back regardless of how much original packaging is still around. I just do not understand a business model based on selling defective products. Do you?

ASRocks-NOT!

ASRock P67 EXTREME6 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock P67 EXTREME6 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: None!

Cons: Never worked! The MB failed to post. I exchanged cpus, power sources, and memory, all to no avail. I took a working MB out of another computer and put this MB in, but it still would not post! I sent it back to Newegg, but they refused because a $3 part was missing. ASRock never sent an RMA, when I requested one.

Overall Review: Look at how many items get returned to Newegg! It is almost like gambling in a casino! I went back and looked to see how much I have spent at Newegg and quit looking after $10,000. Maybe you spend more and get better service, but I have just been fleeced on the ASRock Motherboard! For online retailers to continue their success, they need to take back the bad products they sell. They need to recognize when they are selling bad products. They need to recognize manufacturers with return rates. Buyers do not get to look them in the eyes and say "so how would you feel, if you bought this?" So, Newegg should be a no questions asked return merchant. I have not purchased anything from Newegg in months!

Just perfect for my use!

VANTEC NexStar HX4R NST-640S3R-BK Aluminum / Plastic 3.5" Black SATA I/II/III USB 3.0 & eSATA Quad Bay RAID HDD Enclosure
VANTEC NexStar HX4R NST-640S3R-BK Aluminum / Plastic 3.5" Black SATA I/II/III USB 3.0 & eSATA Quad Bay RAID HDD Enclosure

Pros: Great system for Movie storage. Newegg sells a lot of nonworking items, but this HDD enclosure actually does work, exactly as I wanted it to.

Cons: None so far!

Overall Review: I use this to keep my movie library. No raid or anything else, just four disks running independently with ample storage. I can turn it on if I want to see a movie in my collection, or I can turn it off to keep the disks from wearing out. Most of the time it is off. I liked it so much, I bought another one and have HD TV movies on it. It is amazing how soon I can fill up a disk. With thousands of titles, in different formats, it is quite easy. This thing just works GREAT! At $160 a pop for 4TB disks (Seagate at Newegg) and $120 for this enclosure, after a year or so of buying disks, when you need them and on sale, you end up with 16TB of storage for $760. All available when you need it, easily taken with you if need be, and stored off-line to extend the life or your disks.
