An Eggcellent Review!

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Up to 32GB of ram support PS/2 Port for your gaming keyboard Extremely easy to use and friendly bios Very fast boot Multiple PCI slots for dual gpu or gpu and stand alone pci soundcard Rear Panel Ports are labeled and color coded Extra USB 3.0 Header (However I personally don't have anything that needs usb 3.0! maybe in the future) Great board, do not hesitate to buy it!

Cons: Board is slightly smaller, so in your case you won't use the far most right screws. Also I had some trouble getting my PC power button to reach the board, so I had to make my pc reset button my power on button. Not that big of a deal The SATA ports are on the bottom right of the board, make it slightly difficult to reach the cd/dvd/bluray drives in some cases The directions didn't make it very clear that the gray sata ports are for regular hard drives while the black sata ports are for solid state drives.. so keep that in mind! I didn't hear any type of bios beep, it did however boot on first try and has been running great! The debug LED works fine too, maybe I missed a plug. There are a few things you may need to change in bios which I'll write below in "other thoughts" Doesn't explain which drivers you need or are required, and all of the utilities are optional.. view other thoughts for info on that!

Overall Review: Alright there were a few issues I had when I first got the board but they were all quickly resolved by installing drivers and disabling certain features in bios.. I'll write them all down here quickly for reference so you know! Bios settings (when you first enter bios) Go to Advanced> North Bridge> IGUID Multi monitor and disable it, this is on-board video and won't be needed if you're using a stand-alone GPU. Also this fixes the shared RAM issue which is when your computer says something like 8.00 GB Ram (7.90 usable) it will fix that and just have it say 8gb. Also under advanced you'll want to disable intel smart connect, it'll be listed as an unknown device in device manager disabling it will remove that, so this function is optional however if you plan on using it than don't disable it and get the drivers for it. The drivers you NEED (to have everything function and have no errors in device manager) are (Get them from the website, I only used the CD to install the LAN driver) the website is asrock.com you can locate your motherboard there Realtek high definition audio driver INF Driver Intel Management Engine Driver ASMedia SATA3 driver ASMedia USB 3.0 driver Intel USB 3.0 driver Driver you don't need/or are optional if you're going to use them: CIR Receiver Intel Rapid Start Intel Smart Connect AppCharger LucidVirtuMVP SATARAID Driver (if you're using RAID you'll probably want this) Intel Rapid Storage Tech Driver VGA Driver (this is on-board video, you only need this if you're going to use it, as stated above if you're not using it do not install this driver and disable on-board from the bios like stated above) All Utilities are optional and none are required Also check your RAM timers are soon as you go into bios, if they are not correct then you can manually and very quickly change them in bios and save. Well now that you've read all of this you should have no errors what so ever in device manager and everything should be working smoothly! Also please note that the USB 3.0 HEADER on the motherboard is not needed for the usb 3.0 ports on your rear panel, that's just an extra header so you can have more usb 3.0 slots on your pc case.. so it's not needed and you'll have to buy it extra! Hope you enjoy this motherboard... my build so far ASRock z77 Extreme4 8GB ram @ 1600 i7 3770k @ stock GTX 285 (Need to upgrade... too expensive for me at the moment.. :( plan on getting GTX 680 superclocked from EVGA when I can!)

Best gaming performance, perfect for 240hz

Intel Core i9-10900K - Core i9 10th Gen Comet Lake 10-Core 3.7 GHz LGA 1200 125W Intel UHD Graphics 630 Desktop Processor - BX8070110900K
Intel Core i9-10900K - Core i9 10th Gen Comet Lake 10-Core 3.7 GHz LGA 1200 125W Intel UHD Graphics 630 Desktop Processor - BX8070110900K

Pros: * Extremely fast * Major performance boost, not just in frame rate but in frame smoothness * Automatically clocks itself up to 4.7-4.8ghz when gaming so long as it's below a certain temperature * Supports high speed DDR4 memory, can run XMP profiles of 4266 mhz+ with no tweaking, requires a compatible motherboard

Cons: * Pricey * Challenging to OC beyond 5.1ghz

Overall Review: If you're a 1080p 240hz gamer or just a gamer looking for ultimate performance. This is it. I was debating between the i7 10700k and this one and ended up making the right choice. The i7 wouldn't have been able to sustain the same frames that I wanted. Nearly every game besides WARZONE runs at my frame rate cap of 230 FPS which keeps all my games in g-sync range. Valorant never has the FPS move for a second off 230. Same for CSGO, Overwatch etc. If you're going this route make sure you have a nice motherboard and some high speed memory to pair it with. All of these will factor in what type of performance you get. I'm super super happy with the purchase and have no regrets. Got the exact performance I was looking for. Also when the frame rate does drop, it does so with great pacing/frame timing. Even at lower FPS this thing is STABLE. Your frame-rate won't have crazy fluctuations, if it drops down to 160 FPS, it stays near that in single digit range. This was NOT the case on my intel 3rd gen that I had prior If you pair this with a 2080 Ti (or better if you're reading this at a later point) you will LOVE the performance. But unfortunately you will need to make sure you have solid components all around, getting slower memory, a slower hard drive, or a low-end motherboard may yield worse results. I do not have a 2080 Ti but I'd imagine it would make the only game that doesn't stay always above 200 fps which is WARZONE stay above that range. If you're gaming at 165hz or less then you don't need this CPU (unless you want it and budget isn't an issue) I'd say this CPU is strictly for those seeking to reach the full benefits of 240hz, and to be honest for certain titles (not all) you should be able to reach 360hz when those monitors drop later in Q4 2020 or 2021 if there's been delays to that release. Also for those who play on higher resolutions than 1080p then this may work for you as well but I can't confirm, I'm not sure if 2k-4k+ resolutions tax more on the GPU compared to CPU. So don't want to give incorrect information on that front. Make sure if you're buying from newegg that you set the seller to be Newegg and for it to be shipped by Newegg, I do not like that Newegg allows 3rd party sellers which may result in you getting a fake product, over priced product, or used product. Be cautious.

Easy Installations, works like you'd expect it

CORSAIR iCUE H150i RGB PRO XT, 360mm Radiator, Triple 120mm PWM Fans, Advanced RGB Lighting and Fan Control with Software, Liquid CPU Cooler LGA 1700 Compatible
CORSAIR iCUE H150i RGB PRO XT, 360mm Radiator, Triple 120mm PWM Fans, Advanced RGB Lighting and Fan Control with Software, Liquid CPU Cooler LGA 1700 Compatible

Pros: * Easy install * Supplied fans are great, they appear to be corsair ML120, lots of power * Keeps i9 10900k cooled * Contains connection to run all 3 supplied fans on one CPU fan header * The RGB looks nice. I'm not into RGB but I like it * Prevents throttling of my CPU speed, haven't went over 74c while gaming (where I have my fans set to kick in at a much noisier RPM) * Compatible with a large range of CPUs * Comes with thermal paste pre-applied * Thumb screws for the CPU heatsink portion, makes it easier to cross-tighten them

Cons: * Directions didn't include all relevant information for latest intel 10th gen processors * The cable for the micro-usb to USB 2.0 header is a bit short. Can be a tight fit

Overall Review: Overall this AIO does exactly what it's supposed to do. Keeps your cpu cool and looks stylish doing so. The fans can reach insanely high RPMs so make sure you adjust them in your bios to follow PWM and a custom curve you set. I tend to not let the fans go above 1550 RPM otherwise they make insanely loud audible noise. They've got a ton of power. My one biggest issue is that the directions don't include information for the latest intel 10th gen sockets, so basically the back-plate that goes behind the motherboard has 4 screws in each four corners. Those can all be adjusted to move higher or lower, but it doesn't look like they can (no indication that they can in the directions either) so for intel 10th gen you have to lower each screw to the lowest point it can be and then you will be able to screw the standoffs in on the other side. After that's done installation was really easy. Just wish the directions were better would've saved me a lot of time.

Beautiful High Speed Memory

G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 4266 (PC4 34100) Desktop Memory Model F4-4266C19D-16GTZR
G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 4266 (PC4 34100) Desktop Memory Model F4-4266C19D-16GTZR

Pros: * Gorgeous Design and LED (I don't even like LEDs but this one is great) *Frustration Free Packaging * High speed memory, perfect for a large framerate boost in games that take advantage of high speed memory (note, not all games do, same games will have 0 benefit from memory speed, other games will see large increase in average fps * Ran XMP profile and it loaded first try. Running at 4267mhz with no issues so far. (Note, this is paired with a MSI Z490 ACE motherboard, which is rated to run XMP up to approx 4600-4800mhz. However I was worried it may potentially not run at that speed so I settled for slightly slower memory, not that there's a huge difference at this speed. Plus it's half the price of 4600 memory. Eventually memory at 4600 and above will come down in price when we start to get DDR5 etc). Also processor is an i9 10900k if that's relevant. I'm not an expert on memory but I do know you need a motherboard and processor which can handle the memory at its rated speed, otherwise you may have to make manual adjustments. I had to do that on my old motherboard to reach 2400mhz on a intel 3 series

Cons: Price I guess. Still paying a premium for the speed.

Overall Review: Overall this is great memory, it runs at its rated speed and looks fantastic. You won't be disappointed with this memory in your case. Nice work G.Skill.
