Most Favorable Review

Money well spent.

Intel Core i7-950 - Core i7 Bloomfield Quad-Core 3.06 GHz LGA 1366 130W Processor - BX80601950

Pros: Fastest Proc I have owned to date. This is the first Intel build I have done for myself since 97. I usually build a new rig every year. I was a huge AMD fan boy. For the price nothing AMD comes close. I wouldn't really go as far as saying I am a complete AMD fan boy. I usually research all my parts intensely and I buy the best I can with the budget I have.

Cons: None that I can find. It didn't build my rig for me so I could sit back and relax. For some reason I don't get nervous during a build. This time I was a little edgy. Maybe it was the 5 cups of coffee.

Overall Review: Overclocks nicely 4.2 without a hiccup. I never leave my rig OC'd. I usually do it during my torture test for the first week to see if anything is going to fail. Passed with flying colors and everything I threw at it. Asus Rampage III i7 950 2x GSkill 6gb 1600 2x eVGA 460 GTX 1000w CoolerMaster PSU Corsair 60gb SSD

Most Critical Review

Didn't last a year.

LG 25UM58-P 25" Class 21:9 UltraWide Full HD IPS Monitor 5ms 2560 x 1080 75 Hz Refresh Rate Flicker Safe Black Stabilizer and On Screen Control w/ Screen Split 2.0 HDMI
LG 25UM58-P 25" Class 21:9 UltraWide Full HD IPS Monitor 5ms 2560 x 1080 75 Hz Refresh Rate Flicker Safe Black Stabilizer and On Screen Control w/ Screen Split 2.0 HDMI

Pros: I bought this for photo editing and video editing. Also using it for gaming. No ghosting and colors are great. The split screen does come in handy but nothing awesome. You can accomplish the same thing just resizing the windows. Does't get hot like my last monitor.

Cons: It stopped working just a few days before the one year warranty. Support is a joke. When I first called my call was directed to refrigerators. After having to explain myself 10 times my call was for a LCD monitor. The tech kept saying, " the lcd monitor on your refrigerator?" NO a computer monitor! Then I was transferred to washing machines?!?! Really? Then that person directed my call to someone pretending that they can not hear me, even though I could hear my voice echoing back. I hung up. Then I called again and got in touch with the right dept. They do not replace they only fix the one you have. I asked for a box to return it. She said no problem. It was suppose to be here in 5 days. It took 2 weeks. I am out of town until Dec 22. I placed the call on 11/26. I still haven't got it shipped off. Considering just buying a Samsung or Asus and never buying anything LG again.

Overall Review: Really good buy and the colors are accurate enough for Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro. Especially considering it was under $200.

Pros: Pros: Awesome I don't have a bad thing to say about performance. Thumbs up to NewEgg for delivery, came 2 days sooner than expected.

Cons: Cons: Flimsy chasis, Diplay colors are washed out and lack luster. Memory test were a little slower compared to others listed in comparison.

Overall Review: It was time to retire my old laptop. It was 7 years old but still run like a champ but was lacking hardware for the new games. Even the updates to Eve Online were taking its toll. I have had a lot of health issues so money is tight. I needed a budget laptop that I could also use as a desktop replacement. I am an old school IT guy from Adtran, Sun Microsystems even Xerox when they had their own PC's. Yeah I am old but still a gamer. Before making a purchase I always do my research. Because of my health I can't afford to throw away money. SO I ran across this gem with everything I wanted.. well... I wanted a RTX 4080 but... I could live with a 4070 at this price. A laptop i7, RTX 4070 and 32gb RAM for less that $1300? Take my money please! It was on the Black Friday for $1199. I was like too good to be true. Must be something wrong with it. SO I did my research watched 20 or so YouTube reviews and read more reviews on the web. While not perfect... it didn't recieve any negativty. There were a few kinks but I could live with them for the price. Performance wise? There is nothing wrong. I ran benchmarks and it exceeded and was average in some areas. Never below against simular builds. I always run stress test to make sure it isn't a dud. I want it to break early on so I can go ahead and start a RMA if needed. Also if I see anything suspicious I want to get it handled as quickly as possible. It held up to every test. The only test I wasn't pleased 100% with, was the memory. I might upgrade that later. For now it is good and meets what I need it for. I play older games I am a creature of habit so Eve Online is 99% of my gaming. I do occasionally play some VR games with Occulus Rift. My usual games. Wreckfest, Racing games, Planetside 2, CS Go, TF2, Death Loop, Arma III, Rainbow 6 Siege, some COD and BF titles. I bought it to run Star Citizen because my old laptop CPU wasn't supported. So nothing really strenuous for the hardware in this laptop. I do some 3d design with AutoCAD, Maya, 3DS Max and Lightwave. I have a 3d Printer and I make parts for my drones and RC hobbies. Also mill CNC parts as well. I also do rendering for my friend's animation and video editing. Also I do a lot of photograhy. I can take as many as 5k pictures at a sporting event, concert, or Dance recital. SO I need speed to help develope and export pictures. Man this thing works great. SO with all this this laptop performs great. With all that good, here are my peves... I only have a few. Yet I can't complain too loudly considering the price. Yet it would be better if these were addressed later on in their future builds. The chasis is well, it feels cheap. The lid is flimsy and has a lot of flex to it. I don't have much confidence in packing it for traveling. I feel like I need to add something on top to protect it. Doesn't seem like it could take much pressure to harm the LCD Screen. My old laptop was a Asus ROG G751JY it was a TANK. Maybe a matte finish so finger prints are not so apparent. Last but not least.... Some how I missed this in the reviews. I did see in a Tom's review, the colors in the display are washed out and dull. The laptop by itself it isn't so bad. Yet when I plug it into my Asus Pro Art monitor you can really see how bad the color is. Like I said above I do a lot of photography. I can't rely on the laptop alone because the display colors are so far off. So using it while traveling or off location to do my photos is a no go. Luckily my old laptop is still running great so I guess I will use it while on the go for photos. In conclusion I did buy it primarily for gaming and it does a real good job for that. Most of my other uses for it it excels as well. Just the dismal colors of the display. If I had knew that I might have shopped around knowing that. None of the reviews I read or saw mentioned anything about the colors. So bear that in mind if you are buying this and you need correct colorization for photo or video editing.

Pros: Fast and reliable so far. Had it for a year. I use it for RAW images from my Nikon until I have time to process them.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Yes especially if you need storage but a little bit faster than vanilla drives.

Works great.

Horrible! They don't even deserve 1 star!

I ordered a laptop which they had priced wrong. Instead of cancelling the order they charge me and send me a bogus tracking number. It showed my package was on the way. Next day I get an email saying my laptop had been RMA'd by customer stating it was non functional. Now I have to wait for refund. They sure didn't mind charging me ASAP but now I have to wait before I can order something else now until my funds are charged back to me. Stay Clear of Them! Bad business. I jumped on this at 7am. I found this link researching the laptop. https://slickdeals.net/f/9493663-eluktronics-p650rg-g-premium-gaming-laptop-intel-core-i7-6700hq-quad-core-windows-10-home-nvidia-geforce-gtx-980m-8gb-gddr5-g-sync-15-6-512gb-ssd-32gbram-580?page=9#commentsBox
