great CPU for the buck....and in general

AMD Phenom II X4 945 - Phenom II X4 Deneb Quad-Core 3.0 GHz Socket AM3 95W Desktop Processor - HDX945WFGMBOX
AMD Phenom II X4 945 - Phenom II X4 Deneb Quad-Core 3.0 GHz Socket AM3 95W Desktop Processor - HDX945WFGMBOX

Pros: Everything. I have this CPU on an ASUS M2N32-SLI DLX which due to a recent BIOS update was AM3 compatible. Not only is this a huge improvment over my dual core AMD 6400+ at its stock speeds, this thing is an OC'ers dream come true.

Cons: yea right lulz

Overall Review: I've got this thing from its stock 3.0 to 3.7 with zero issues. Ran p95 for 40 hours no errors. Not only that, even at the big OC (I know I can take it much furthur if I wanted to up the voltage), its still cool to the touch with my Zalman 9500 cooler.

wouldn't take a free one

Linkworld Black body/ Silver strip Steel 6280-01 Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case
Linkworld Black body/ Silver strip Steel 6280-01 Micro ATX Media Center / HTPC Case

Pros: cheap

Cons: cheap

Overall Review: what a piece of garbage. I looked past all the bad reviews and figured I'd try it myself, big mistake. I read a lot of complaints about the front bezel pulling off. You guys are LUCKY!!! Mine doesn't even stay on! Won't clip in place at all. The included PSU is in no way shape or form capable of doing what its rated at. It is so light and is missing so many caps I guarantee this thing will go quick. On top of it all, on of the screws where you remove the assembly to mount your optical and HDD had somehow an extra "smudge" of steel at the bottom of the screw after it was inserted into the hole so of course it wont even come out without dremeling it!! newegg is in the process of an RMA exchange for me, but I have low expectations for my replacement as well. All in all will never buy another product from Linkworld, and I know this is a sub $40 case, but I've bought sub $20 cases that were made better then this junk. 0/5 if I could. Terrible.....

Why is this unit not hyped more!?

Pros: Intel i5 8G DDR4 RAM Nvidia GTX 940MX Full HD 1080p display

Cons: 5400 RPM mechanical drive

Overall Review: In this price point it would be insane to give it a lower score just because it comes with a mechanical drive, it must be expected. That being said.... The second I opened this box I pulled out the mechanical drive (WD 1TB Blue series) and threw in a PNY XLR8 240G SSD (not even a "great" SSD) and installed a clean copy of Win 10. Anyone that is saying this thing is slow is insane or clearly has no idea what they are doing. This unit is lightning fast with the SSD and boots to a usable desktop in about 7-8 seconds. I now have my clean OS with no bloatware. All drivers installed automatically however I did update the chipsets, wifi, and Nvidia drivers manually. Installed all the OS updates including the Windows 10 Anniversary Update and this thing rocks. The fact I'm only in about $500 with the SSD for a budget gaming notebook I can take with me on the go is a dream come true. I primarily got this so I can play WoW on the go or at friends houses. Display resolution set to 1080, AA and AF minimal or off and everything turned too "Good" or "Normal" in the old world zones I get close to 60fps. In the Legion zones which are obviously far more detaiked and effects heavy it probably closer to 40-45 but can still hit 60 on occassion. I'm completely blown away that a 2G low end card like the 940MX can do this. I'm incredibly happy with it. Even playing for a few hours straight it really doesn't get THAT hot. Perfectly normal and well within acceptable temps for an Nvidia chip. People in reviews saying ita way too hot or overheating are either not playing on a flat surface or don't know what a truly "hot" temp for a video card is. My only gripe with the unit, and it's minor, is the viewing angle on the panel isn't that great and some of the colors are a little washed out. All in all, perfect to acceptable though. I could not be happier with my purchase and if you are looking for an amazing price:performance ratio look no further then this bad boy. After seeing what it can do on WoW i checked out some vids of what the 940MX is capable of and it's really a pleasant surprise what it can handle. GTAV, Overwatch, The Division all at very playable frame rates on medium settings @ 1080. Stop reading and buy it now.

good card, worst cusomter service I've ever dealt with

XFX Core Edition Radeon HD 7850 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card FX-785A-ZNL4
XFX Core Edition Radeon HD 7850 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card FX-785A-ZNL4

Pros: Card performs well. Cant tell you anything about higher resolutions as my wife's monitor caps at 1600X900 but at that res with all FX turned on and highest settings its played everything @ 60fps. WoW, Diablo 3, Sims 3, and of course all the casual stuff runs fine too.

Cons: Terrible customer service. The worst I've ever dealt with. This card was supposed to come with the free games. Well I registered the card with my dop, serial number, personal activation code and all necessary info. A link was supposed to pop up on the site the get me my product key codes for Tomb Raider and Bioshock. So I make a ticket on 3-2-13. I tell them I entered all requested info, verified, and even tried to re-register (said card already registered) so clearly I input all the info. I got no response til 3-7-13. "You need to enter the personal activation code, thats what unlocks the link for the free games" I respond almost instantly with "I did all that, as stated above, and I have no links" Today is 3-12-13 and I still do not have a new reply....this is completely unacceptable by any standard for such a simple issue

Overall Review: I will not buy another XFX product again after seeing how their customer service operates. I one 2 other video cards, an XFX PSU, and even a monitor stand all for XFX. If their reps see this and want to expedite getting my situation resolved it may sway my opinion, but every other company I've dealt with when I had an issue has been far more helpful then this.

I'm not that impressed with SLI on these

XFX PVT88PYDD4 GeForce 8800GT XXX 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
XFX PVT88PYDD4 GeForce 8800GT XXX 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: price:performance ratio, single slot design, better cooler with this latest revision 12/07, Double Lifetime Warranty

Cons: SLI performance was meh...under DX10 that is. DX9 however, CoD4 = 250fps, HL2EP2 = 150fps, amazing all around.

Overall Review: AMDX2 6400+ OC'd, 4G OCZ SLI certified DDR2 800 OC'd, 2 of these guys OC'd on an Asus mobo got 20-25fps in Crysis on Very High settings under Vista Ultimate, so all of you saying your getting 45fps on one card are full of it. Im trying it under XP Pro tonite and Im sure it will be 60+ since its DX9 but as of right now IMO DX10 is some horrible stupid joke by Micro$oft.

XFX PVT88PYDD4 GeForce 8800GT XXX 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

Pros: performance, performance, performance.

Cons: size, barely fit in a mid tower.

Overall Review: Just built a gaming rig for a client with a Q6600, 4G of Corsair Dominator, and 2 of these guys. Wow is the only thing that comes to mind. Played COD4 at 1900X1200 MAXED and got about 70 fps. Played Crysis at 1680X1050 everything completely maxed out and got about 50fps so yeah, these cards are slick as. Of course I can get the BFG 8800 GTOC at work for $225 on employee discount but we are always sold out.
