Amazing drive
Pros: Fast. It was the best bang for the buck drive. I picked one up for $199.99 when it was on sale a month ago. I get about 240 read and 140 write. Very respectable for the reliability it has shown me thus far, and the price I paid.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I wanted to buy another one for my laptop and the price went up :-(
Junk
Pros: NONE
Cons: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CABLE! I was forced to pull all the runs out when a cert meter was put on my runs and every single one failed with excessive skew. These runs were all 120' and under. Once re-ran with different cable, the same keystones, and the same patch panel, everything passed with flying colors. This cabling has major quality issues.
Overall Review: I took a chance and I was burned. I contacted the company (located in China) about my problems and it fell on deaf ears. They did nothing, No refund and no replacement box. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME! Get some name brand wire for $120 more, it is worth it in the long run.
Nice monitor, when it works.
Pros: Great image. NO tearing. NO glare. Love it
Cons: The case came with a rubbed off right corner. It ruins the aesthetics. It wasn't worth the $45 to ship it back and get a clean one. In hindsight, I should have shipped it back. It freakin' flickers. I get static lines across the screen and a loud popping noise. Happens a few times a day. Of course it started happening a month after I got it.
Overall Review: I have tried calling Asus support and couldn't get through. I will try again when I have a few hours to kill...
Great remote, USED NOT REFUBISHED
Pros: I love this remote. I have installed nearly 30 of them for clients and every single person has loved them. The RF range is great. The configuration is pretty easy to get it exactly how you want.
Cons: I received a pretty obviously used remote, not refurbished. It worked fine for about 40 days, then I started getting a white screen mid use.
Overall Review: A few reflashes of the firmware and a new battery later, I called Logitech to get it repaired/replaced. They said they no longer make this model and asked if their new smart remote product would be an acceptable replacement. Sorry Logitech, no. A smart phone app is not an acceptable replacement for a single physical remote with a screen on it. I have been arguing about it for a week with them and have gotten no-where. I miss the old Logitech. I could buy anything with their name and know I was getting quality and great support behind it. They even replaced one of my headsets out of warranty. That Logitech seems to be gone now.
Box was pretty good the first 650 feet
Pros: Cheap. Vivid Dyes
Cons: After finishing a box of this cable I have come up with the following: It will kink in the box unless you are VERY careful. Even my modified box had issues kinking. It probably has to do with the ususally stiff casing on the wire and the way they wrap it in the box. After fighting with it snagging and almost kinking about a dozen times in the last 350 feet I will no longer be buying this cable.
It may have a new chip, but still has the same problems.
Pros: 5dbi Antennas.
Cons: This model has the same problem as it's previous model. Poor wireless throughput over time.
Overall Review: After some random amount of time, from one day to 6+ months of use (most of the previous model installs are still fine), my max wireless throughput 5 feet from the router maxes out at ~17mbit and it only goes downhill from there. No amount of hard resetting would fix it. I then go and take a new router out of the box, plug it in, set it up the exact same way, and am pulling nearly 85mbits. I already RMA'd a RT-N16 FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. It is across devices and occurred in multiple client's homes. Asus's quality has really slipped over the years, I am done.
