Overall Review: I think that all Win 8 configured laptops will have this same problem, but rolling back to Win 7 is not as easy as I though it would be. Difficult, but certainly not impossible. After about 2 hours of searching I finally have all the hardware working properly. In particular, USB3 drivers were difficult to find. Otherwise, I cannot say enough good things about this laptop. Specs speak for themselves, but what the specs don't tell you is that this is an attractive laptop that performs beautifully and is very quiet. For the money, there were only two other laptop that come close - ASUS and Gigabyte each have a model in this price range but the Acer comes out on top for value for the money. Other than rolling back to Win 7, I added a 128GB SSD and this monster really screams. Boot time is about <10 sec. to desktop. Video is bright and crisp as well. Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with this unit for under $1250. I highly recommend the V3!

Comments: I had to add something to my original review. The drive XXXXXXX out after 2 days. I ran SeaTools and it only took 10 sec. for the program to respond that the drive was bad. Basically, all I did was install XP, MB and GPU drivers, and Splinter Cell. I had one good day of playing SC then the drive went out. I will try again then it's back to IDE.

Comments: I am ordering this camera as soon as it is available so I can't really give an opinion on it yet, but after reading many other reviews and checking out Canon's web site, it seems to have a USB port and not Firewire as NewEgg has in the description. Check out the nForcers and AMDMB forums if you need confirmation. nVidia and SiI (Silicon Image) admit there is a problem and have stated that they are working to correct it. Abit has also stated that they are working on the problem. Asus has yet to admit a problem other than offering Beta drivers that seriously affect performance. I can only assume that this will be worked out eventually, however, most of us with this board using the on-board controller are pretty much f****d. The link I provided is only one of MANY links discussing this issue.

Comments: I bought this cooler because it carried the AMD recommended XXXX. I am not happy with this cooler for several reasons. 1st- idle temp 40C and full load 48C (properly installed, case temp 22-25C); 2nd- it came with some XXXXXX therm material that had to be removed so I could apply AS3. I thought about going with the XXXX at first, but it was almost .5mm thick and figured that this couldn't be good. I also had a hard time removing this material properly.

Comments: The initial 2-3 seconds of spin up and last 2-3 seconds of spin-down produces a semi-loud hissing/sanding noise. The noise is present with and without CD in the drive. This does not affect performance and the drive works well.
