Great card

XFX Radeon HD 4850 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card HD-485X-ZDFC
XFX Radeon HD 4850 1GB GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card HD-485X-ZDFC

Pros: A great card for the price. I paid $115 for it, price was fluctuating between $189 and $119, so I got it. The card has greatly improved my graphics, important since my eyes are 67 yrs old. Size seems to be a concern, but this card fits quite well into a Antec 300 case. No heat problems, according to CCC, runs about 45 degrees under some load. My case does have good cooling though. I could not be happier with my purchase. Newegg continues to be outstanding.

Cons: Nary a one.

Overall Review: Athlon x2 6000+, 4GB Corsair memory, 550w Corsair PSU, etc. Vista Home Premium.

Could not get it to format

SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-75E250B/AM
SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-75E250B/AM

Pros: Don't really have any pros. I could not use this SSD but I would have really liked to have been able to.

Cons: As my title stated, In Windows 10 Pro PC, I just could not get this drive to format. Googled all sorts of info to help, but none of it did. Most was way above this old guys head. I was getting the feeling it must have been something I was doing incorrectly, but I was following everyone's directions and got it to do everything but format.

Works as advertised

SAMSUNG 830 Series MZ-7PC128D/AM 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) Desktop Upgrade Kit
SAMSUNG 830 Series MZ-7PC128D/AM 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) Desktop Upgrade Kit

Pros: As title says, these days that is a biggie and pretty unusual. When you are 70 yrs old, as I am, my definition of speed probably isn't the same as with most of you. But - this thing has really speeded up my PC. I don't dwell on how long it takes to my machine to do this or that. It has helped performance. I could not be happier with my purchase. Installed easily except for that mounting bracket which I couldn't use. I had a spare one from Corsair that worked though. Software that came with it do also, although I am not completely sure what it does. I'll have to get back to you on that.

Cons: Not even one.

Overall Review: I had read that these things didn't have much space. By the time I installed Win 7, Office, a couple of other small programs, I was down to like 71gb unused. But with a HDD storage drive, that really isn't an issue. As stated above, in the past I have bought stuff that wasn't very good and I wasn't happy with. This is not one. My PC: Phenom II 965BE cpu, Corsair 650w PSU, Asus 6850 video card, Asus M4A87TD EVO mb, 500gb WD hard drive, Corsair 600T case, Windows 7 64bit, etc.

Makes my PC faster

Corsair Accelerator Series 2.5" 60GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-C60GB
Corsair Accelerator Series 2.5" 60GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-C60GB

Pros: "Faster", when you are 70 yrs old, probably ain't such a big deal, but I am pretty sure stuff runs faster now. PC boots quicker, browsers load more rapidly. My sons and grandsons used to pester me about my PC being slow, hope they are happy. And, bless their hearts, they paid for the Accelerator. Installed easily, software was quick and painless, even for one old and not very smart. This SSD seems to do what it is supposed to do. In this age and time, that's rather remarkable.

Cons: None whatsoever.

Overall Review: When this came in the mail, I couldn't believe there was actually something in the package. There is no "heft" to it. Are all SSD's this light and skinny? Learn something new every day I guess. It had caught my eye in a magazine advert in the doctor's office, and what it said about not having to reinstall Windows and not requiring moving programs around had me hooked. I am not disappointed. Oh yeah, and a plug for Newegg's operation. They get stuff down here to south Texas really quickly, and at a fair price. Always have.

It's what I paid for

ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M4A87TD EVO AM3 AMD 870 USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: This board works. Nothing on it does not. I am far from being classed an "enthusiast", and so what I look for in a build is parts that work without having to fool around with settings and stuff, termed here "out of the box". This motherboard is exactly that. I installed it, as well as other components, and it has run fine ever since. Documentation is adequate. Bios is simple to work with if needed.

Cons: None at all.

Overall Review: As far as the I/O Shield, just pre bending those little tabs out a bit is all it takes. It is not a high tech piece, so don't consider it as one. Board is short, so just be a tad careful when plugging in connectors. My other hardware: Phenom II x4 965BE, ASUS EAH6850 vid card, 8g Corsair memory, Corsair 600T case, a couple of WD hard drives, Corsair 650w PSU, etc. Windows 7 64bit.

Man this is a nice case!

Corsair Graphite Series 600T Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Corsair Graphite Series 600T Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Even with 68 yr old hands and eyes (OK, with trifocals), this case makes building a PC extremely easy. There is plenty of room, cable management is a breeze, fans keep my system cool. Could not be happier with this purchase. Side panels open and close the way they should. Everything works the way it is supposed to. Filters are easily accessible. This is just an outstanding case all the way around.

Cons: None whatsoever, except maybe the price. But certainly not expensive enough to remove an egg. I don't care much for the led's in the fans (I think that's what they are called), but that is just me. I don't sleep with the thing.

Overall Review: As has been reported here, it is big, so make sure you have enough room. And, it is pretty heavy once everything is installed. Old guy proof, and that is a biggie. I was just a tad apprehensive when I saw there wasn't much documentation, but if I can figure out the connectors and such without it, anyone can. And, there is plenty of info online. My other hardware: Phenom II x4 965BE, Asus M4A87TD EVO motherboard, Asus EAH6850 vid card, 8gb Corsair DDR3 memory, a couple of WD hard drives, etc., and Windows 7 64bit.
