Great SSD, Samsung Support A+
Pros: Fast, Samsung Tech support responsed to questions promptly.
Cons: Minor Issue - mounting screws/holes are smaller than standard HDD for the adapter bracket, therefore the pins in many quick mount rails won't fit bracket holes.
Overall Review: Using on a X58 board via Intel SATA-II port. Marvel SATA-III (9123 chip) port was unstable, lots of BSOD's and boot issues. When the price drops to below $1/GB, I'll buy another.
Credit Card Activation is B.S.
Pros: Norton has always done a decent job and I've used it for years on multiple computers.
Cons: Won't purchase again because of Norton/LifeLock's policy that a credit card must be used to activate this product and because they turn on automatic renewal automatically. This is just a way for them to bill someone. Especially since this is a PRE-PAID Subscription.
Overall Review: it works, but dislike the CC activation and automatic renewal enough that I'll be looking at other software next time. Hope Norton reads this, as they just lost a long time customer.
Fast Reliable HDD
Pros: - Outstanding performance for a HDD- Good warranty- Great value when on sale
Cons: None
Overall Review: I've owned more Western Digital Black HDD than any other drive. Other than SSD's it's the only HDD I'll install in a personal computer and the HDD I recommend to friends. After reviewing many external HDD's to use for backups. I decided to go with a WD Black and use it with a USB 3.1 dock. Better warranty and performance than many of the external USB HDDs.
Over Priced
Pros: It's a good OS and Microsoft is good about updating it without additional cost.
Cons: Gave this a 2 star rating based on cost. Tired of Microsoft screwing over individuals wanting to build their own computer. They charge OEM manufacturer's a fraction of the cost. As a custom builder for my self and other's, we need to keep letting MS know they charge us too much for an OEM license tied to one computer.
Overall Review: Cost of OEM license is too high!
Short Lived
Pros: worked well, good signal strength, decent setup menu
Cons: SHORT LIVED. Purchased three of these routers over time to use at different locations. All three of these routers died shortly after warranty period was up. (1 yr)
Overall Review: Have owned several D-link products over the years and have had good luck, but their quality has really gone down hill. I won't purchase another D-Link product.
GPU Driver Needs Work
Pros: This is an update to a prior review
Cons: Intel's latest driver 15.31.9.64.3165 for the HD 4600 GPU still needs work. Installed this on an ASUS Gryphon Z87 MB and ASUS has a newer driver posted, which improved things, but still get occasional BSOD "system restarted". WinDbg points to the graphics driver. Many other folks listing problems on the web.
Overall Review: If you are using an add in GPU than it's probably not going to be an issue, but if using the built in HD4600,expect some issues. Come on Intel, put a real cooler with this CPU and spend some time getting the drivers right!!!!!!
