SEgoN Power-X 32GB -1st time for this brand

SEgoN Power-X USB 2.0 Flash Drive 32GB (Black)
SEgoN Power-X USB 2.0 Flash Drive 32GB (Black)

Pros: Good discount price. Slim, firm compact casing...doesn't take up extra usb port space. Transfer rate was very good copying/moving pdf files. Usual prompt Newegg order processing, speedy UPS on time delivery.

Cons: Does not accept Klingon encryption codes. Haven't lost the cap yet or petty things to whine about regarding this product other than it works right out of the box.

Overall Review: First time for this brand, good impression. Will update if this turns into a dud. Glad to see prices are steadily dropping for the 32GB size since I prefer to use portable apps a lot. I found new life for my older 256mb - 2GB by converting them to start up boots for restore/recovery as an alternative to CDs. Good luck to those that plan to try Segon.

Seagate SV35.5 ST31000525SV 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Hard Drive Retail

Pros: Did not arrive DOA and did started up. Bargain price ( open box item ) system recognized the hd.

Cons: Windows disk mgmt and other hd utils indicated bad realloc sectors, no buffer size, health status:bad...etc. Surface scans read bad at the very 1st "red" block and stuck there for 12-15 minutes. Reboot issues afterwards. Overall summary from Windows and other hd util tests shows that it is defective. There was a RMA sticker on the static bag it was packed in. When I saw it, didn't need Spidy senses to know this was a coin flip purchase. Made in China w/no date of mfr. on label. In the process of RMA to Newegg.

Overall Review: This is suppose to be a "professional" hd for 24x7 security use? Very disappointed with Seagate. My ratings for them just dropped. Did purchase another open box SG a few years ago. I was lucky w/that one, it was never opened and the Barracuda is still running fine. Sure there are good TB drives avail.(WD black series? & other brands ), but will wait until quality control/production catches up with the TB group. Prices should be lower by then. For now, will stick w/ WD Caviar Green,Blue series and stay within the GB range.

WD20EZRX - Not Disappointed

Western Digital WD Green WD20EZRX 2TB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital WD Green WD20EZRX 2TB IntelliPower 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: My first TB HD. Very good promo price @89.99 for 2TB and the usual secure packing, prompt shipping. Intel mobo (DH67BLB3) bios read/recognized the drive w/o any problems. Benchmarks, chkdsk tests from popular disk utils were within specs & good health. Miscell note - installed it using round SATA III cable. Easy to rout and bundle, checkout the cable section for some good selections.

Cons: None so far. Regrettable reading the doa, failure comments. Always had good luck with them ( WDC blue/green series ) and the last hd issue I had was an open box purchase which was a chancy choice I took a few years ago. Other than that, batting average has been and still is excellent.

Overall Review: As mentioned, this is my first TB hard drive. I held off buying TB sizes because of tech articles/review criticism and mostly due to pricing. I was lucky to stock up on Newegg shell shocker deals before the Thailand flood. One of the nicer deals was a Western Digital Caviar Green WD7500AARS 750GB $39.99 @6/2011 It just passed the 2500 power on hours mark and running fine. I finally switched over to SSDs to run the Win XP and Win 7 x64 family pcs last year when their prices dropped within my budget range but expect to get plenty of mileage worth from the reg hds. I still have Maxtor MB drives from the mid 90's running in USB external enclosures. Obviously they'll never match the speed of current drives, but these clunkers are still useful for archiving.

Models RCAB-11053 3 ft.& RCW-401 6ft. - Very very Good

Rosewill 6ft. DVI-D (24+1) Male to DVI-D (24+1) Male Digital Dual Link Cable, Model RCW-401
Rosewill 6ft. DVI-D (24+1) Male to DVI-D (24+1) Male Digital Dual Link Cable, Model RCW-401

Pros: Bought them at very good prices w/ promo discount. Firm, well constructed, heavy duty. Connectors seated and secure w/o any problems. Power on, Thunderbirds are Go.

Cons: Not available in pink. Would make a pleasant pc setup for my wife and girls in the family. Wouldn't mind paying extra for other colors. They would help to sort/track all the cables in the work area.

Overall Review: The Rosewill brand continues to be very reliable, good quality and seldom any issues as far as pc parts/components goes. I've also purchased their round/flat SATA III & network CAT 6,7 cables for upgrade projects and yes, avail. in various colors. Never missed a beat and all have been working fine since installed. Same with their USB hubs, wireless adapters.

RIKB-11002 with Low Profile Chiclet Keycap Design - Nice Bargain

Rosewill RIKB-11002 Slim Keyboard with Low Profile Chiclet Keycap Design - Retail
Rosewill RIKB-11002 Slim Keyboard with Low Profile Chiclet Keycap Design - Retail

Pros: Got this at a nice discount price $7 awhile back. Didn't really need another keyboard but was interested in the Chiclet design. All the keys worked accordingly. Slim, compact as the details & pictures indicated. It was the right size & fit for my portable workstation with room to spare. As mentioned by one of the comments, this is ideal for youngsters and cost effective.

Cons: Doesn't come in pink. Would make a very nice gift for my wife on Mother's Day. Not recommended for gamers with Hulk size hands.

Overall Review: I'd also purchased Rosewill's keyboard models RK600 & 650 a few years ago. Both are the same, just different frames/bezel look. They haven't failed yet, very durable and as with any loose keys, a gentle press to re-seat it and you're back in business. Though I prefer to use the slim design now, I still have my classic IBM/Intel keyboards which I use occasionally for the DOS/older Win games.

DT100G2/16GBZ - Shell Shocker Bargain

Kingston DataTraveler 100 Generation 2 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive DT100G2/16GBZ
Kingston DataTraveler 100 Generation 2 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive DT100G2/16GBZ

Pros: As already mentioned by the other comments, I got this at a great shell shocker price. Grabbed it for one of the family members. I'd already purchased one a year ago and have been using it daily w/o any problems. File transfers have been steady, stable, no cliches so far.

Cons: No serious cons. Just waiting for the price to drop on the 32GB size. If lucky, perhaps it might pop up as another shell shocker down the road.

Overall Review: The Kingston brand is very reliable. I also have their USB 4GB size, desktop rams...always work, never any major issues. Thanks Kingston & Newegg.
