Pros: Easy to install, includes HDMI converter, and it's quiet after it starts up and settles in. Oh, and its OVERCLOCKED from the factory so you dont have to; but, just in case you feel "the need for speed" you can use the installed control pannel to nudge it up a bit more...
Cons: Hmmm.... Well, I'm thinking... Will have to get back to you on that one... That is if I find anything...
Overall Review: Be prepared for the stares of envy from you friends when you unveil this monster. It definately lives up to the hype and then some. I am Running a Phenom 9500 on a Gigabyte MA790X DS4 board with 3GB of Corsair 667 RAM, WD 150 GB Raptor drive, with Windows XP and the 9600 GT video card, and it scored 10,653 on Futuremark 6 (the XFX 8800GTS 320 it replaced scored 10,487). Once you have it installed, head for Nvidia.com to get the laters driver...
What could you possibly need 16GB for?
Pros: Well, I cant speak for the rest of you but I use mine with a Canon 50D digital SLR that requires 20 MB per picture.
Cons: None - works as described.
Overall Review: Besides transfering pictures, this card has the capability of storing, quite literally, the contents of most computer systems. Use it as an SSD backup drive for your data. Will save you the cost of 4 DVD's and fit in your pocket.
15 Megapixel - Need I say more?
Pros: First, the upgrades to the sensor and processor is worth the price alone. Second, the camera has the ability to fine tune the auto focus so that your not stuck with pictures that are "just a nudge off" or having to set the focus manually. Last (but not least), the camera has programable presets you can do in the lab and not have to try and do it on the fly in the field.
Cons: Its only a con if your a "Speed Freak" on the shutter but the 50 is a touch slower than the 40 in terms of how many shots per second you can take; for the most part this wont matter unless your one for sports shots.
Overall Review: The Canon 50D is equal to or superior to the Nikon D300 in most if not all aspects, and it is about $500.00 cheaper... Your preference, your call; personally I like the idea of being able to take the $500 and buy a really cool lens to go with this AWESOME camera!
Roll Over Beethoven!
Pros: This thing has more bells and whistles than the Democratic National Convention! - Seriously, it installs in a few minutes, updates to the latest drivers on the fly over the internet, and for the gamer in you, it can be seriously overclocked.
Cons: None, it ROCKS
Overall Review: While it has the capability, you might want to take a serious look at the south bridge heat spreader before deciding if you want to SLI. A pair of 260 or 280 Nvidia cards will block the heat exchanger, so make sure you have a case fan directly on the south bridge if you go this route.
Said the spider to the fly...
Pros: The mobo POST'd perfectly the first time. Installation of the drivers and updates to system are all done by a click of the mouse.
Cons: It wasn't gift wrapped...
Overall Review: This board, a Phenom 9500, an XFX 8800GTS video card, and 2GB of Corsair RAM (all purchased here on Newegg) = Spider!
