dell gx-620 memory upgrade
Pros: worked right out of the box, easy installation posted as spec`d. On old dell gx-620 unit. maxed out ram at 4 GB. like a brand new computer, performance is now up to par multi tasking everything put to it, with a Pentium d dual core 3.2 ghz processor. will extend the life of this computer for some time and then will be handed down to the kids for internet surfing in their room so they won`t mess with my new I-7 rig I am going to build in the near future. oh i am running windows 7 on this machine.
Cons: none at all even price was right, well should have come with a free video card lol!!!
Overall Review: this is a great upgrade for extending the life of your old computer will keep you going until you can afford to build another, like it is doing for me. seems like dells love this ram so dont hesitate if you have one just do it you wont be sorry!
Pros: this is to update my earlier review of this product as i have ran CPU-Z on this set of memory. it is read as 400 MHz but its running at 266 MHz. don`t think its a problem with my chips i think it has to do with the dell motherboard limiting the chips to 266MHz. even though on their site it says it can run up to 400MHz memory.even in the bios it says they are 400MHz.
Cons: none
Overall Review: just wanted to let all you dell users be aware of this but they are still a vast improvement over the 1 gig you probable have dell bios does not have anyway to bump up voltages or set anything only stock settings this sucks but the ram is very good and you wont find 266MHz for less anyway so just go with these you wont be sorry.
