Great monitor
Pros: Great contrast ratio, no dead or stuck pixels, works perfectly
Cons: none that i can think of
Overall Review: almost wen with the cheaper Acer model, but went with this one due to the 2500:1 contrast ratio over the 700:1, and it was only 20 bucks more
great keyboard and mouse
Pros: I bought this keyboard to have a wireless solution for when I have my laptop hooked up to my tv, both the keyboard and mouse work flawlessly. Keyboard is very slim with a simple design and mouse works great though it doesn't have any bells or whistles. Comes with easy to program software for both keyboard and mouse as well. Never had any connection problems.
Cons: according to the booklet that came with it, it has a limited range of supposedly 6 feet. I'm using it at about 8-10 feet without issues but you might want to take this into consideration if you plan on using it at a greater distance.
Overall Review: For me this keyboard and mouse did exactly what i wanted it to do. its a cheap solution that works great for when I have my laptop connected to my tv.
Great laptop, great performance
Pros: Tons of storage space, great screen, full keyboard with nice feel. dual function mouse pad, tons of ports. Speakers have amazing quality and over all computer runs very fast.
Cons: came with tons of bloatware, easy to get rid of though. Obviously it is very big and quite heavy. Can get pretty hot at times. Battery is abysmal for gaming, though can last a while with power save options on. Forced to use Toshibas drivers which aren't really the best in the world.
Overall Review: I got this laptop for gaming on the go and so that I wouldn't have to lug my gaming rig to LAN parties, have to say I am very pleased with the performance this laptop gives for the price. Plays call of duty on high settings at a good frame rate, supreme commander: forged alliance maxed out at an ok frame rate, Age of conan on medium settings at a stable frame rate, all the Orange box games at good frame rate when maxed out, Medieval 2 + expansions maxed out at a good frame rate, and plays battlefield 2142 at a good frame rate maxed out. Good frame rate = 40 or above fps, solid frame rate = 30-40 fps , ok frame rate = 20-30 fps. All framerates were taken with FRAPS.
Works great!
Pros: Works great, easy to install and set up, picked up my router right away and has held a strong consistent signal the entire time, hasn't dropped once.
Cons: Price I guess.
Overall Review: I was using a net gear PCI card and it was dropping constantly, and had a "very low" signal strength, put this in and getting much better results
Great game!
Pros: This is one of the best single player experiences to come out in a long time. The game has about 20 hours of play on one run through, but you will most likely play through the whole game multiple times since it is just that awesome. Game runs very smoothly no crashes, at about ~80 fps with a core 2 duo e6420 8800 gts and 2 gigs of ram. Highly recommend this game.
Cons: When the game first came out there were problems with activation, but all that has been solved now that the initial rush is over.
Overall Review: The game seems to have problems with certain graphic cards (I think ATI cards) and will tend to crash. Also some people claim the game installs a root kit but don't worry, it doesn't. There will be a patch soon to fix the wide screen FOV if that is an issue for you too. And about the limited installs, currently you can install the game on 5 separate machines, and reinstall it on each machine 5 times (the 5x5 plan) but 2k games says that after about a year or two after the hype of the game has died down that they will get rid of online activation and the limited installs. Seriously, just buy this game.. you will NOT regret it.
Great card, great price!
Pros: Card worked right out of the box. Plays all my games great, fear combat completely maxed out gets 100-250 fps, battlefeild 2142 maxed out gets 100 fps both @1280x1024 resolutions. Looking forward to playing Bioshock on it!
Cons: Card is pretty big, fits in my midtower though, with a little room to spare. Seems to run pretty hot, but all the newer cards seem to.
Overall Review: Didn't bother with drivers on disc, just got them off of nvidia's website.
