Good Product
Pros: This is used with a Seagate 1.5TB 7200RPM Drive to backup 8 severs. I have this connected though eSATA. I have also used the USB connection. I have 8 total so that I can rotate my backup drives (1 for for each day Mon - Thu and 4 Friday) The drives stay Cool and they work great.
Cons: None
Overall Review: If you need eSATA for a Dell Poweredge Server make sure that you get a J-Micron based card as Silcon Image cards do not work in Dell Poweredge Servers (at least not the Poweredge 1950)
Pros: Simple eSata card that can be flashed with a RAID BIOS if needed by a simple download on Silcon Image web site. If you need a Simple eSata card this card is great.
Cons: It does not work in Dell Poweredge Servers (I tried it in a Poweredge 1950, I also have read that Silcon Image cards do not work in the Poweredge T300) If you need a card for the Dell PowerEdge Servers you need to find a J-Micron Based card as the Silcon Image chipset cards will not work.
