Great deal

Pros: Great performance, has 4 gigabit LAN ports. Stupid easy to setup and use
Cons: None
Overall Review: I use this as a WAP ( Wireless access point ). Any other N router would cost double this, snag the deal while you can

Pros: None
Cons: Fatally Flawed Controller. The write performance is horrible, it will work with some very new computers and recent drivers. On anything older than 6 months, forget it, write performance is 500kb. NewEgg won't refund on this SSD, so if you buy ( like me ) your stuck as Crucial is ignoring the flood of posts on there forum about this defective product
Overall Review: First time in 10 year I got burned by NewEgg. I'll still buy here but pay better attention to the return policy's. Check out the Crucial Forums if you don't believe me on this drive. Its the worst SSD one could choose and Crucial know it!. They are not even responding to questions on this product anymore
Not as good as the Egg rating

Pros: Well ordered two to upgrade my NAS, one worked , one DOA
Cons: One DOA, looks like many other are having the same issue, very poor quality, the DOA one clicks like mad, now into week 3 in getting the disk replaced as you have to send the bad one to CA on your dime
Overall Review: Looks like the High capacity drives are problematic
Needs the new patch firmware otherwise its a disaster

Pros: Outstanding unit, easy to use features, great interface
Cons: Out of the box, the DSM 4 is a disaster. I had to hunt down the patch to make the unit stop rebooting randomly Here is the patch to save you a day of emails trying to convince Synology to provided the required patch for the DS212j ftp://on-line:[email protected]/on-line/DSM4.0/212jNEW.pat
Overall Review: Its a great unit, best bang for the buck. Once loaded with the DSM-4 patch, unit is running great. One thing to keep in mind is that when encryption is turned on, the read/write performance is processor limited to about 10 MB second. Not great, not bad either
Odd issue

Pros: One drive installed fine, the second one reported a size of 133GB. I eventually figured out how to make a boot CD with the Seagate diag tools and was able to reset the reported LBA value. Now both drives are working fine
Cons: Not for the drive, but I swapped out the 250GB drives from my Mator One Touch (Upgraded from 250GB to 500GB) as I like the enclosures, but now the firewire port won't work as the drive is to big. USB 2 port is fine
Overall Review: These drives come with nothing and having now realised I can't reused my old enclosures I should have just bought the new one touch 500GB drive and SAVE xx bucks as there cheaper ... Oh well
