All your stress will be yourfault
Pros: Works PERFECT and silent. overclocked 9700k to 5ghz on first try. I'm sure i can go further, but I'm WAY good with that. Never liked the idea of water in my computer or the noise radiators bring anyway.
Cons: I'm going to write more praise here. I LOOKS hard to install. It LOOKS like it won't fit. These are deceptions and illusions.
Overall Review: If you really care about the color of the fan, just buy the heatsink elsewhere and get a black noctua fan. I have this mixed in all my rgb and yeah it clashes, but literally no one cares or has a reason too. Maybe an issue if you're a retailer though, but then your just going for looks anyway and probably aren't reading the reviews.
Pros: Well I have bluray player that I spent double for
Cons: Incompatible with my $280 z390 MSI ACE motherboard and 9700k.
Overall Review: Ok so I know you're going to say I should have studied compability, But I thought I did. SGX supported yes, do I have an hdmi 2.0 hdcp 2.2 port, yes on my 1060 but.. I don't even have a single display out on my motherboard to use my IGP. Is that Pioneer's fault, not one bit. Is it mostly Intel's fault, ABSOLUTELY. Is it a portion of my motherboard's fault for cutting corners, Yes, yes it is actually and that's unacceptable too. But why one star for Pioneer and their faults? So their compatibility tool only tells you about the hardware you HAVE, not what you can buy. All ATX motherboards (like you would use to overclock a 9700k) only come with an hdmi 1.4 or/and Display port 1.2. This means you can just barely make the 4k, but no HDR. The ITX motherboards are the only ones that have HDMI 2.0. All the hardware help sites are stumped on what's compatible, the cyberlink forums are running a campaign for people to test hardware. Most infuriating though, is that Pioneer will take your money, but they in no way provide you with motherboard compatibilty list for this HIGHLY incompatible hardware. They may be stuck in a corner, but they have made absolutely no effort to help their consumers. So i recommend and hope you find a friendly drive out there from LG. Do things the illegal way, because the fact that this situation made it's way to the market should show why all the of these companies involved do not deserve your respect, or money.
Exactly what I waited for, should be 5 stars.
Pros: overclocked to 5ghz on the first try with a Noctua 14s and z390 MSI MEG ACE. If the specs of the chip are
Cons: I bought a Pioneer UHD drive and an SGX compliant system with a gtx 1060. I cannot use the drive. AMD would have been a more valuable purchasing option if i knew that no ATX motherboards (therefore no motherboards that can overclock an I7) carry the necessary hdmi 2.0a connector needed for the UHD playback. This is because Intel bought the proprietary rights. They are the reason my Nvidia card's HDMI 2.0 or Displayport 1.4 CANNOT be used. I was so excited about my Intel gaming build that can play any disc sold on the market, all in one system. Nor does ANYONE of these companies provide a comprehensive compatability list. Let's just say, I now hope AMD bankrupts Intel. Pure hubris.
I can hear it
Pros: I always have gotten toshiba drives, just randomly I suppose. Here I am 10 years later and I have never had one fail. I use it to run a home plex server too. I'll never understand the price premium of NAS when these are on the market.
Cons: This drive as clicks that are louder than i like. But all other drives I've seen over 3GB sound the same. It's really not a reason to not buy the drive, just don't worry about it.
Pros: RGBs look awesome, but I'm not a consumer that overlooks performace over cosmetics
Cons: Cannot get my MSI z390 MEG ACE and 9700k to post with this ram in 3200. In some predefault settings for 3000mhz I can get it the windows login before I boot loop. All lower settings crash. ONLY works fine at 2400.
Overall Review: If anyone wants to troubleshoot with me and get these to work as specified, I'll gladly change this to 5 stars.
Pros: Infinity mirror is cool.
Cons: No display port at all for integrated graphics, can't get 3200mhz ram to go above 2400mhz and wifi 2.4 is at low connection 3 feet from the router. Wifi 5 just plain doesn't work at all.
Overall Review: I bought this a 9700k and a Pioneer Uhd drive. Even though this board has SGX, it doesnt have the hdmi 2.0a to output a UHD disk. The board is $280 and released late 2018. This is very unacceptable in my opinion.
