Pros: The enclosure is very sturdy. The end-cover includes the electronics, read/write LED, external power jack, and mini-USB jack. The external power jack is not normally used as power flows via the USB cable. A 2.5 inch drive of your choice (a Toshiba 80 GB MK8032GAX also from Newegg) plugs directly onto the pins on the end cover. The drive slides into the case and the end-cover is affixed with two phillips head screws. A piece of foam is provided to affix to the top of the drive to keep it from hitting the inside of the case. The disk management functions of Windows XP Computer Management (Administrative Tools) are used to make a partition active and then format the drive once plugged into the USB port on your computer. The mechanical assembly instructions are printed on the outside of the packing box. The USB cable has one power/signal USB plug, one USB plug for power-only, and a mini-USB plug for power/signal. Win 2000 and Win XP do not need additional drivers for this enclosure.

Cons: The included mini-CD (not a full size CD shown in the product photo) has two driver files which are usable only for Windows 98. The mini-CD DOES NOT include a users manual. I think a novice would have a hard time making this enclosure and hard disk functional in the absence of documentation describing the software setup and PC connectivity. The foam material had no stickyness once I peeled off the protective covering - I had to use a piece of tape to affix the foam to the top of the drive.

Overall Review: The enclosure is described as HD-201U2 however I received a HD1-U2 enclosure. The packing box and enclosure appears identical to the photos on the website. The soft case that I received is about twice the size of the disk enclosure and has a zipper as compared to the product photo which has a snap and looks about the same size as the enclosure.

Pros: This might be the only reasonable choice for a PC user like me that still has a functional laptop (circa 2003) with Win2000. The installation of Eset was easy. I have not had to spend any time learning, configuring, interpreting meaningless pop-ups, or deleting useless report files. It gets the job done. I don't see any slowdowns on the 1.2 Mhz processor, 1GB memory laptop.

Cons: This is not the internet security suite version of Eset with a firewall. So I downloaded an old, free version of ZoneAlarm for my firewall. It is not really a con, you just need to consider this add-on. I am using free ZoneAlarm 6.5.737.

Overall Review: I was forced to purchase a 1-user copy of Eset locally several months ago when Kaspersky stopped supporting Win2000, even at a back level of KIS, which I was willing to pay Kaspersky for. The price I paid for the one user version of Eset was the same as Newegg's price for this 3-user Eset version.

Pros: This is a very nice unit. Better than expected. Features: non-slide rubber feet; 30 inch cable; 2 USB expansion ports (DC is not passed thru); black piano finish; keyboard tilt adjustment; backspace key; numlock key; num lock indicator LED; double zero key; tab key; the usual numeric keypad keys. The keypad is light in weight should one need to pack it for travel. It installed and worked without any problem on a Win2000 SP4 laptop after selecting Microsoft update as the source of the driver software.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: The free Newegg shipping was fast. Thank you. I have not given the Rosewill brand items much of a look before now. I was concerned they might be low-end, house-brand items of marginal quality. My experience with this keypad proves that I was wrong. It appears, especially in this case, Rosewill offers a lot of value.

Pros: Plugged in and worked right out of the box. I did later install the proper driver. I like the integrated power - no extra wall wart is needed. All adjustment functions seem to be available via front panel buttons without using Magitune software. The screen viewing angle is adjustable over a small but acceptable range.

Cons: One dead pixel. Magitune software seemed to cause WinXP to hang. Started in Safe Mode and deleted it. All is OK now.

Overall Review: Newegg service is always great - ordered on Tues night; installed and using on Friday night - shipped using least cost delivery option within the US. Thank you, again, Newegg.

Comments: I ordered on a Friday and received it the next Wednesday - excellent Newegg service. The compact black drive has no logo on the top and matches the laptop appearance. If you need a USB floppy drive, this is a very nice one. The USB cable is permanently attached and is about 12 inches from case to connector. The drive was immediately recognized by Win XP SP1. At first Win XP, showed it as a 5 1/4 inch drive. I used the Remove Hardware button and plugged it in again and the drive was recognized accurately as a 3.5 inch "B" drive. A Win XP SP2 laptop immediately recognized and operated the USB drive as "A" without a problem. I was able to boot from the USB "A" drive. A Win 2000 SP4 laptop needed the driver CD included with the drive to install the USB floppy.
