Incredibly Fast

Seagate Firecuda 520 1TB Performance Internal Solid State Drive SSD PCIe Gen4 X4 NVMe 1.3 for Gaming PC Gaming Laptop Desktop - 3-year Rescue Service (ZP1000GM3A002)

Pros: Fast

Cons: setup with BIOS wasn't intuitive. Not a con for this but something to be aware of depending on your MB

Overall Review: 15 seconds from BIOS to Windows loaded! Exceeded my expectations. Windows had gotten to the point where I dreaded restarting my computer. It would take about 3-5 minutes to load all of the windows stuff AFTER I logged into windows. I have a Ryzen 9 3900 with 32MB RAM so it wasn't the rig it was the HD. Installed the SD, got it visible in BIOS, reinstalled Windows. Now my windows load time is 3 seconds. When I sign in, it's 3 seconds until everything is loaded and I can use the system without delay or lag.

5 stars - Great product with great service

Synology DS1815+ Diskless Network Attached Storage Server (NAS)
Synology DS1815+ Diskless Network Attached Storage Server (NAS)

Pros: - simple interface- worked right out of the box- customer support was amazing when I did have problems- very fast- 8 HDD bays- synology SHR RAID which allows you to use HDs of multiple sizes to create a protected storage pool - ability to send login information to users from the NAS- there are so many applications for this device from proxy server to DNS server

Cons: - synology drive client backup function needs a lot of work- have to reformat my drives to work in this device- hard drive compatibility list - may not be compatible with your drives

Overall Review: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++This is an updated review. I want to give this 5 eggs but Newegg doesn't allow me to change the egg count. You should know that synology has a compatibility list for hard drives and it may not recognize your hard drive. Which is what I believe happened when I initially set this device up. And that led to me leaving a low review. Also, you will have to erase your HDs before you can use them in the NAS. At least that was my experience.Initially I thought the device was DOA, sent it back, and they tested it and said it worked. They graciously sent it back to me, and they were correct. It did work. I believe there was a HD compatiblity issue with the drive I used to install the NAS OS.Customer service was phenomenal.Once the device was working, it just works. It's blazingly fast, easy to set up, easy to administer. No complaints. The perfect upgrade for my growing business.
