Very Happy

FSP Group FX700-GLN 700W ATX12V V2.2/EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply
FSP Group FX700-GLN 700W ATX12V V2.2/EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This PSU has apparently been re-certified at 18A (20A OCP). This comes from an FSP Group rep over at the Hexus forums. I guess there's no real reason to question this source.

Cons: It would have been more reassuring to have the 18A classification up front.

Overall Review: This is my first system build. I was a bit alarmed when I noticed that the documentation for my mother board stated an 18A requirement and the PSU documentation specified a 15A capability. A bit of searching around the net put my mind at ease (though it would be nice to see updated docs from FSP Group some time soon).

Most Critical Review

Worked for 2.5 years

FSP Group FX700-GLN 700W ATX12V V2.2/EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Nice color/design, good cable bundling

Cons: failed after 2.5 years, no support for this unit on fsp web site

Overall Review: The unit worked great for the first 2.5 years, but failed last night suddenly while I was playing a game (single graphics card). There was no evidence of the unit failing before this happened. I was surprised to find that the unit isn't listed under the support section of the FSP web site...

Underwhelmed

Saitek PZ30AU 104 Normal Keys 4 Function Keys USB Wired Standard Eclipse Blue Backlit Keyboard
Saitek PZ30AU 104 Normal Keys 4 Function Keys USB Wired Standard Eclipse Blue Backlit Keyboard

Pros: - Cool blue glowing keys - Well constructed - Volume control keys

Cons: - "Spongy" keys, terrible for touch typing - No extra usb port - No media keys - Price

Overall Review: The lack of usb port and media keys are not a big deal, but I can't abide spongy keys. My Dell SK-8135 is a much better keyboard in terms of feel (I can type much more reliably on it than on this Saitek). For a 50$ keyboard, I found this pretty disappointing.

Amazing Case

LIAN LI V COOL PC-V1200B plus Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
LIAN LI V COOL PC-V1200B plus Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This really is a well designed case. What more can I say? The enginner in me was oohing and ahhing over all the nicely machined parts. Cable routing was no problem.

Cons: Not really a con for me, but this case is BIG! It's also pricey but I knew that going in. I would've preferred to have had the front panel jacks a bit higher up.

Overall Review: This was my first system build and everything went smoothly. I've done a bunch of tinkering with other pre-built system cases, but I've never seen anything come close to this.
