Pros: Comes with everything you'd need. I love the clamps for both the light and solar panel, they both quickly attached to some posts by my garage so I didn't even need to use any tools! Cord was plenty long to reach a good sunny spot. The distance on the sensor on this thing is ridiculous, I always trip it walking to my front door easily 50 feet away, I didn't even believe it was me the first time.
Cons: The plastic does seem on the cheap side but I wouldn't call it brittle or anything. It's gray so the chances it doesn't look good on your house is pretty decent. Only one light to aim.
Overall Review: Has been working great, I hope it holds up to the weather over the years.
The brightness is adequate. In all honesty it was brighter than I assumed it would be for being charged by solar.
I have no buyers remorse as long as it lasts.
Pros: Having a place to organize and store all my digital movie collection has been great. The dvd player is now barely ever used, I never have to mess with unskippable movie previews and annoying menu screens again!
It can play basically any file format you throw at it.
Startup is pretty quick.
Cons: There are a few:
1. though it could see and play my movies that were in a VIDEO_TS format, when I tried to move them (to organize them in different folders ie, action, comedy, etc) it would only move the .VOB files, not the whole folder! So now I'm encoding them into MP4 and AVI formats.
2. Because it's its own Media Server, it never really turns off. You can press the off button and it'll go into a low power state but the fan never turns off. I think this is because it was built to work with the WD Lives that can stream from the hub. I don't have any of those and would rather it shut completely off so that the fan doesn't wear down sooner.
3. It can do everything but I feel that most of us just want to watch videos. Though the startup menu looks fantastic, I'd rather it bring me right to options for consuming my data. My Media Library, Netflix, etc. Right now it just takes a few too many clicks to actually play anything.
Overall Review: Taking a few too many clicks is also why it didn't take over Netflix duties from our Roku.
Moving all my files over takes time (typical USB 2.0 speeds) but once they are all on and organized it will be a time AND space saver. We've already moved all of our DVD's into a closet. Also I've unplugged it before and taken it to a friends. Don't know what to watch? Just peruse my entire library!
Pros: Much faster than my Sandisk Class 4 that came with my Nikon.
Why are you still reading this? Buy it!
Cons: Was not made out of Gold.
Overall Review: This fixed an annoying issue where my camera would have downtime after recording a video or after slow motion/burst mode while it wrote to the card. I missed a handful of potential great shots this summer and was so fed up I went home and found this card to buy. I've been very happy now that my camera is running at it's full potential.
Some people have stated being annoyed about the movie download. Since it was a bonus, I could have cared less but I found it rather easy to do and it worked fine. I think that any issues probably had the computer to blame over Sony's software (I can't believe I just typed that!).
Pros: Noise cancellation is the best out there. Seems a little better then the previous one (which I also owned). It is also much lighter then the original so it doesn't want to pull itself out of my ear as much. I also like the charger much better and it charges in less then an hour as well. Synced with my slvr no problem.
Cons: I still don't care for the blinking light when it's on (about every 10 sec) but it's not nearly as annoying as the previous model.
I don't care for holding down the main button for 2 sec to turn it on or off and would prefer a switch but understand that they chose looks over function in that area.
I also couldn't get it to sync with my eee netbook with a bluetooth adapter. Don't know if it were even possible but was hoping...
Overall Review: I never liked their earloops especially since they made wearing sunglasses feel weird. So with the original one I had bought the Jabra MiniGels and they worked great. This time out of the box they were almost perfect (I think the reduced weight made the most difference) but I had already ordered their "New Fit" earbuds (which you can get on their site for free).
Now using those without the earloops I can shake my head all I want and they won't pop out! Much more confortable too.
Pros: One worked great!
Cons: The other was a dud.
Overall Review: Bought this back in 2005, the one that worked has been a champ.
Pros: loaded vista on it and it started right up, no major hiccups.
Cons: had some trouble with the sound drivers, ended up using the xp one and it started working.
Overall Review: great deal for what you're getting. Gigabyte has always made solid mobo's, they are the only ones that I use in my machines!
Pros: It blows.
Seriously, it works just like it says. Easy fix to my broken antec "silent" fan.
Cons: not whisper quiet, but less noisy then my antec fan.
Overall Review: Would recommend! Looking for a 120mm fan? Buy this one. Easy.
Pros: Took out one of the 128mb sticks in an old dell laptop and popped this one in and it started right up!
Cons: None! And this was still cheaper at newegg then most other questionable memory store websites.
Overall Review: Even though dells old paperwork said to put in pc2100 and max at 256mb per dimm slot, this pc2700 512mb stick works great like many websites claim.
Pros: Plug and Play. Pretty simple. Came with both the silver and black faces.
Pros: Burns fast, install was easy, and lightscribe!
Cons: Lightscribe wasn't as sharp as I had hoped, but still is a neat feature to have. Took about 20-25 minutes to burn an image onto each disc.
Overall Review: I actually have only used the lightscribe a few times, I bought this primarily for the increased burn times, lightscribe was just a bonus. It also helps to have a program like Nero that has a program that can help create an image for your discs, the one they give you free on the website isn't worth downloading.
Pros: Big. Bright. NO dead pixels. Looks great playing games, have not noticed any ghosting (though I play aoe3 and not fps).
Cons: I can now never go back to a 17 inch screen. And now I want another one to go side-by-side. Seriously, the only negative is the somewhat flimsy stand. But it works and it's not like I move it around anyway.
Overall Review: Great deal, good brand. What are you waiting for?
Pros: Cheap and it powers the computer. 240watts are better then the 200watt one that came with my computer, so I can finally run a video card on it.
Cons: The exhaust fan is on the side and sticks in too far inside my SHUTTLE SK43G case. It just barely bumps into the hard drive. It is also longer then the origional so I will have to jerry-rig a way to install it upside down so that the fan points out (which means I have to dremel a 4in hole into the side of my case).
Overall Review: Maybe it would have been easier to just replace the dead fan inside my old psu. But this will make for a fun project, it's just the wifes comp anyway. Also the added wattage will allow me to put in my old graphics card that hogged all the power before.
Pros: Simple set up, worked the first time. Very noticable difference from my usb wireless b device. Can stream video much faster now.
Cons: None. I had no set up problems, but am also using a Linksys Wireless G router.
Overall Review: This is a cheap solution to get you through until 'N' is affordable (and compatible).
Pros: These speakers thunder! There is no equivalent price-wise for this much wattage, period. I can't even put the volume past the halfway mark because it's just that loud.
Cons: None unless you really care about the mini ottoman for a subwoofer. I don't mind, makes a good footrest.
Pros: What can I say? 500 watts and dual 12v rails should cure what ails you! Backed by a company like Enermax, with a modular cable system that cleans up the look and airflow, forget about it!
Cons: Me not buying this sooner!
Overall Review: My comp was acting up when I realized that I had upgraded about everything except the 300W antec psu that came with my case. This fixed all my problems, though I wouldn't have had any if I had bought this first!
Pros: Sounds great, real crisp. And the bass booms. I still haven't past the halfway mark on the controls volume, and I like my music loud!
Cons: I don't know if this really is a con, but the bass box is big, kind of like having a mini coffee table next to my comp. But then again, makes for a good foot stool!
Overall Review: You cannot beat the quality and quantity of sound for this price. Period.
Pros: This gig holds over 400 pictures on my wife’s Sony DSC-W5 (5MP) and almost 300 on my Sony DSC-W7 (7MP). It's the way to go, who needs to waste time deleting pictures?
Comments: I got the "not approved by XP" message but after that it worked fine. An extra front USB 2.0 is always useful also.
Comments: Bought it for a friend, install was quick and painless. Works great, no problems yet. Now if only the 16x blank dvds would get affordable!
Comments: Works good, just save yourself some time and download the new drivers from the website first. And if you have to go through a few walls, consider buying a bigger antenna.
