Cools even better than expected!! Vega 64 Blower-type Reference Card
Pros: I changed my case and my blower-type card didn't like it at all. Tried changing the thermal paste to something better like Kryonaut but didn't see any change in temps. If I didn't under volt my card I think that my temps would have been even worst. Tried adding extra fans to the case pointing at the card and removing side panels to see if that changed anything...nope. This cooler solved my heat issues. -Dropped temps from 87c under video benchmarks to struggling to get to 60c -Easy to install despite the limited instructions -I like the fact you can put just about any style fan on it (120mm only) - 120mm fans I am using you cant even hear pass the other fans at max speed. Unlike the blower fan which you can hear out in the front yard. - You can use this on another card later down the road
Cons: - BIG it takes up about 3 to 4 slots on the board - The mini heatsinks were silver in color and not black like the rest of the cooler. - The screws are a little weak as if your not careful you will strip the head - wished it had a mini PWM connection to 4 pin connection that came with it - Thermal past that comes with it isn't that good - Kind of throws off the look of the inside of my case, but this is a personal thing
Overall Review: Fans matter on this product but not much as I had a 3 pack of Aspire fans laying around the house that were 10 bucks for all 3 of them and they kept the video card pretty cool (idle about 32c and BM load was about 69c) changed out to two Cougar 72cfm fans and dropped to 26c idle and max 60c under BM (card was stock voltage). After making a few clock adjustments seeing scores higher with less adjustments.
Could be better
Pros: 24' is nice and big. Acer monitors look pretty good. Price
Cons: So, as everyone has said on here the backlighting on this thing is really bright with no way of turning it off. This problem of course causes the color to be off. After adjusting with the monitor and the video card it still isnt perfect.
Overall Review: If your going to use this as a off the side monitor it isnt that bad (make sure you have the right connections for muti display of 3 and more) but as a main I would go with something else. Not saying I wouldnt buy a Acer monitor again but next time I will ignore the price and get better.
Awsome
Pros: So many to write about...ok. The card was easy to adjust for the unlocked shaders bios switch (super small switch, almost didnt see it). Chews up anything I can throw at it and spits back perfection. Over clocking is a snap on this care with barely any heat increase (36 to 46c underload).
Cons: Man that bios switch was small... The 3 days waiting for it to come was gruling.
Overall Review: I put this in a new rig and was trying to cut some corners to save some bucks, really dint expect to get so much bang from my buck as I did.
Yea its good.
Pros: Easy to set up this board using the new UEFI. Everything seems to be working just fine as the board has the new bios on it and can see the 8150 with out a update (0750).
Cons: 2 things I would have liked to see with tis board. 1) They could have given you some straight (both ends) SATA cables for the odd cases out there. 2) 1 more PCI-E x1 would have been nice.
Overall Review: I have setup two of these boards already for myself and a friend of mine, and so far not so much as a hiccup has occured in either machine. Everything on this board is easy to use for the common user and the gamer elite.
Logon help..
Pros: Wonderful ram after I figured out that I had to change the timings, voltage and 800 to 1066 with only one chip in the board and then restarted placeing the other in. Learn and Live.
Cons: none
Overall Review: 7-7-7-20 2.0volts on the gigabute board you have logan fist one boot system all the way then restart put in other ...Stable reached.
Not just any chip...
Pros: Fast as...well you know. Put this thing in,and fired right up on a gigabyte board. Outstanding!!!
Cons: Pffff yea right AMD is the Best.
Overall Review: This chip is wonderful for those of us that dont have lots of money but want a lot of performance and best part is that you probly wont need to up grade from this for a long long time. I mean what program needs more the 3ghz really.
