Pros: I play Flight Simulator 2004 and IL2 + Pacific Fighters. Now Pacific Fighters calls for some heavy graphic requirements. I must say I am very impressed at how this card handles the game with high settings and multiple players online. The graphics are crisp and the card actually has a good cooling system. If you’re on a budget or stuck with an older machine that can only handle agp cards with a 250 watt power supply. This is for you. Yes the card still has to be linked to the power supply to run but you don’t need a 300watt power supply like you would for a 6600GT model. My previous card was a Geforce 4 ti 4600 128mb card pushing 30 to 40 frames with medium settings. I now push 60 to 80 frames using high settings. Remember, high frame rates = better graphics and less freezes/pauses. As for NewEgg - I have zero complaints, keep up the great work.
Cons: None that I can find.
Overall Review: Well, you know how you have those 4 pin plugs that come out of the power supply box to feed your hard drive, cd-rom etc. Most pc’s have extra plugs that can be used as you do need it for this card. However, XFX ( the makers of this card) do not supply you and extension for the plug to make it longer if needed. If your plug can’t reach the card, run to a PC repair shop and pick one up for $5.00.
Pros: My last review was January 5ht 2006 titled Very Impressive! I’m playing graphic hungry games such as FS2004, Pacific Fighter and Unreal Tournament for hours at a time and no problems at all. No jitters or stops of any sort. I didn’t even over clock this baby and the frames are great. The 256mb of ram comes in handy as newer games are requiring it. You can’t go wrong with its performance and price. This was an upgrade that was very satisfying. Last thing I want to do is invest in a new gaming machine. The card alone saved me a bundle. Hope you guys enjoy as I do.
