Pros: This headset sounds great, plays music just as well as gaming. Bass responce is very good and the mic works perfectly as well, you do have to turn the mic boost up a little to get the volume where you want but is a non issue with windows, realtec and above software has a variable mic boost. this product can also be worn indefinetly and remain comfortable, there is a rubber band the shapes to your head and the 40mm speakers swivle to the angle of your ears and has just enough pressure (squeeze) to grip your head. wonderful headset, i'm suprized there only 20 bucks, they sound better than some other headsets costing 3 times as much!
Cons: The only problem with these is the small gauge wires in the cord, over time the wieght of the volume and mic adjuster on the cord will pull the connection loose, over time, also the wieght of the (long) cord will pull right where the wire goes into the headset, first there was a break at the volume nob, then at the headset, upon cutting out the volume nob i found the wires are magnet wire, very small gauge hair like wire with a transparent pvc coating, the wires are the weak link in this product not the hardware. Good thing is they will last a year before these issues come up and thats taking care of them!
Overall Review: for $20 bucks its ok to replace them every 15 or so months, if plantronics put a little more heavy duty wires in them they would last for years!, hmm maybe thats not an oversight by plantronics, but design. P.S. I would have givin 5 stars if not for the wires!
evga 750i for the wind
Pros: Great MB if you can get one that works, 20% of these are bad from the start, other than that looks nice in your case.
Cons: The copy I was sent from the start was opened and re shrink sealed from newegg.com, was an rma from another customer and sent as new to me, I spoke to and evga rep and was told they don't shrink wrap thier products or send them with a broken seal. my copy would just boot and go into a cycle of rebooting over and over and that is one of the issues with some of these boards. I was told by evga that I should buy my mb's from them they have a cleaner stock (less chance of a bad one) than the ones sent to retailers(they have the top percentile of stock).
Overall Review: newegg.com is great its not thier fault the boards are defective, but they still should not send them out to customers as new. that won't magicly make them not be defective, if it is broke it will still be broke when sent to another customer!
Pros: as with most plantronics they sound good, look good and have long use comfort. the mic sounds great and is designed well.
Cons: they don't go very loud on a stock HD on board sound. this is my 3rd plantronics headset my other two were the gamecom 1(which sound a little better btw) and these. all three have broke long before and in ways they should not have broke!
Overall Review: my pair of 367's snapped (7 months old) when i was putting it on my head, they don't have a metal band in the main strap but is made of plastic, i take very good care of my headsets but the durability of all three is in question, the gamecom 1's ok they were $20 bucks but the 367's should not have broke like that, if not they would have lasted for a long time!
Pros: look nice, fit nice! good highs and the base is ok! the mic sounds fine!
Cons: 1khz to 2khz is so bad it sounds like a paper box! the midrange sounds like these should be at the dollar store! the mic boom is very poorly done and it doesn't adjust well.
Overall Review: if you care anything about how your headset should sound run from these! even after much manual eq adjustment they are bad sounding.
Pros: Wonderfull card it equals the evga brand easily, the price is the biggest pro meaning the gtx275 has the same gpu as the 285 including the classified ((I can't tell a whole lot of difference performance wise)) the only difference is the memory bus is a lower bit rate and those cards are $400 compaired to $229 for the 275! in sli this card performs pretty good and doesnt have the issues some of the 285's have with it's memory in some driver versions.
Cons: Wow!, none!! :))
Overall Review: Unlike everything i've ever read about the gtx275's having an issue running warm or hot, I can say that just isnt true at all! my two idle at 39-45c in a 74F room compaired to 55-60c for my 9800gt's! matter of fact under load (even in crysis) they never get out of the 50's celsius((at stock clock))! same for my 285 classified card! this will make me consider bfg next time im looking at graphics cards for sure!!
