Impressed right away
Pros: I could tell just opening the box that EVGA was the company to go with. They allow you to remove the cooling unit and add your own secondary cooling (water-cooling) without voiding your warranty. Thats awesome! Easy registry of product and great OC software. It says in big bold letters to make sure you call them if you have any trouble with your product and that they want you to return it to them if there is a problem. You can tell EVGA cares about there customers, this is the first time purchasing from them and I won't be switching to other companies anytime soon.
Overall Review: I originally went with an MSI DUKE and it arrived DOA and the box had very minimal manuals and technical support items in it, plus you would void the warranty by removing the front cooling unit. Plus it was a non-returnable item on Newegg. Better to go with EVGA they are reasonably priced and you can tell they care.
DOA and no warranty
Pros: Looks like it can cool well.
Cons: Showed up DOA and Newegg would only give me a gift card for it..... Not much support or packaging materials from MSI Taking the cooler off voids the warranty from MSI (which it doesn't when you buy from EVGA just fyi) so I wouldn't recommend this if you plan on liquid cooling ever. Took over 6 weeks to exchange
Overall Review: Your taking a chance with this, there is not warranty at all from newegg and mine arrived DOA, took me over 6 weeks to have it RMA'd/receive my gift card and then purchase and receive my EVGA card. I would stick with EVGA, when you open there box the first thing you are greeted with is a message that says "if you have ANY problems contact us directly" with a toll free number . Plus they are generally cheaper with better warranty.( and you can take the cooler off without voiding the warranty)
Beautiful, Functional and Terrible Audio
Pros: -Beautiful looking -Comfortable with the headband -The mic being able to be stowed away is an excellent feature.
Cons: Could not for the life of me get anything resembling decent audio out of these things. Tried dl'ing drivers, updating bios, disabling certain audio software and features among many other things. The mic was just as bad. Tried talking to customer service but they weren't able to help me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KvyI6tyLrE Watch this video and you will see what I mean (The arctis 3 is what they used to call the arctis 7 *I think*)
Overall Review: It really sucks because I really wanted these to work.....they are the most beautiful and functional gaming headphones out there IMO but the audio was abysmal. Be careful when purchasing these, If I were you I would probably buy them from somewhere locally so that I could return them quickly if they weren't working properly. From what I've been reading online I am not the only one to have this issue, it seems fairly common and no one has figured out a fix yet. Now some people say they love them and that the audio is great so I think it may just be a hardware incompatibility issue somewhere. (I have other wireless headphones that work great). Sorry SteelSeries your other stuff is awesome and I hope in the future this gets fixed, but for now I'm pushing it giving you even 2 stars.
I never have to wait.
Pros: Nothing takes longer than about 4 seconds to load. Windows boots up fully in less than 20 seconds. I love it. Over 3000 read/1500 write, SHAZAM!
Cons: A hard drive the size of your thumb that takes two seconds to install, where is the con?
Overall Review: You can download Samsung Magician if you want, only used it to check the speed of the drive.
