Outstanding Customer Service

Pros: This board worked just fine with an Q8200 and the Q9550 I have in it now. It worked fine with three different manufacturers of 2 gig memory - Have 8 gigs of Crucial 1066 in now with the Q9550. Built the computer to do AVCHD video - so far so good The customer service is the real story here - Ill try to fit it in here and "other thoughts" Using WinXp 64 bit - my optical drives would not "read" AVCHD files - I updated firmware and thought.....maybe I should flash the bios on the Rampage. Now we all know the answer to that! So I flashed 902 and then the system would not restart - It would cold boot, but not restart. I called Asus Tech support expecting to be on hold for a half an hour and on MY dime. The techs answered the call in 3 rings or less and these fellows know their stuff. I called 6 of them - there are 16 in all. They were patient with me and I flashed the board back to 407. These guys and gals must sleep with computers. I even got them to send me a bios chip MTF
Cons: Only operator error. Remember if you flash your bios, you do it at your own risk. I knew that and did it anyway. If a bios doesn't like the MB, memory and CPU - it just might not work the way you would like it to - Fortunately, Asus will not let you down. Treat them with respect and they will impart their vast knowledge on you.
Overall Review: in case the flash didn't work. Parri in the RMA department was equally as cordial and helpful. Due to their customer service I would never consider buying any other board at any price. All service departments could sure take a lesson from Asus. Oh yea, the board is working just fine. If you have a problem don't hesitate to call Asus MB tech support at 812-282-2787.
jWin says it works with Win2000 - It doesn't

Pros: None yet
Cons: Called jwin to confirm this camera will work with Win 2000 - The pdf manual says it does - at the end of the manual. No Win 2000 drivers AND none on their website to download.
Overall Review: I know, I know, Windows 2000 is a thing of the past - but I am trying to work with someone who can't afford to upgrade AND jWin said it would work - ugh! Glad it didn't cost too much
Works fine

Pros: Silicon Case
Cons: Formated to NFTS so could load larger video files worked fine. Does not like old usb ports
The Best One

Pros: No preheat Push buttons Toasts English Muffins in a flash Compact size
Cons: None yet
Overall Review: Tried to get this oven at a local big box retail store. They were sold out at a$129.....Surprised to find it on Newegg for $89 with free shipping. If you like evenly toasted English Muffins, you got to get one. If it broke, I would get another, it works that good and takes up less space than our old oven that died.
It WORKS !!!!!!!!!

Pros: It works and appears programs and etc. run quicker
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: Cloning Windows 7 to this SSD was a "three ring circus." Not to go into a big disertation so here goes. Used Norton Ghost 15 1. Created an backup boot CD from Norton and the mechanical C drive. 2. Backed up the mechanical C drive to a USB external drive. 3. Placed the SSD in an external case formated it and then deleted the volume. Did not assign a letter to the drive. I think this was mentioned somewhere else - but then I am reporting what worked . 4. Shut down the computer - disconnected the mechanical C drive and replaced it with the SSD via SATA cable. 5. Changed the BIO so the computer would boot off the "Ghost 15 rescue disc" and rebooted. 6. Plugged in the external USB'd hard drive and followed the directions given from the rescue disc. 7. When the restore was complete - I returned the BIO's so the computer would boot off the Corsair SSD.......Low and behold - all seems to be OK I did not have to put Windows7 on the SSD prior to this restore and in fact, am using the SSD right now. If it craps out - I have a new mechanical drive to pop in as a replacement. PS Copy drive in Norton Ghost 15 managed to change the drive letters and I got the dreaded "autochk not found, and etc." That is a whole different story. Great Buy

Pros: Easy to use - large digital display - couldn't pass it up for the price. Nice sturdy case and spare battery included.
Cons: Not as smooth as my 40 year old Mitutoyo - but then it was 1/5th the price. Harder to pre-set than the more expensive Mit.
Overall Review: I use this caliper for measuring gem stones and it is way more accurate than needed for this task. Don't have to worry about tearing up my more expensive caliper.
