A Fine Laptop Cooler

Cooler Master NotePal U3 PLUS - Gaming Laptop Cooling Pad with 3 Moveable High Performance Fans - Black
Cooler Master NotePal U3 PLUS - Gaming Laptop Cooling Pad with 3 Moveable High Performance Fans - Black

Pros: - Help decrease the temp. in my laptop by 5° C - You can adjust where the 3 fans are placed - Comes with a small bit of cable management - The pad is made of aluminum an is sturdy

Cons: - Your laptop will very slowly slip off the cooling pad, you'll have to readjust it every hour or 2 - The usb power cable sticks out kind of far from the laptop

Overall Review: This laptop cooler did the job and then some. It is not all that expensive for the extra cooling it provides.

Most Critical Review

Poor Quality

Cirka N64 Controller with long handle (Red)
Cirka N64 Controller with long handle (Red)

Pros: None

Cons: The analog stick pulls to the right, at first you can deal with it using a little perseverance, but it only gets worse over time.

Overall Review: I bought it when it was on sale and it wasn't even worth that.

ASUS MG278Q Review

ASUS 27" 1440P Gaming Monitor (MG278Q) - QHD (2560 x 1440), 1ms, FreeSync
ASUS 27" 1440P Gaming Monitor (MG278Q) - QHD (2560 x 1440), 1ms, FreeSync

Pros: - 144 Hz refresh rate and Free-Sync - 1440p resolution - Color is surprisingly good, for a TN panel, due to 10 bit color - 1 ms GTG and very low input lag - Built in speakers are decent

Cons: - It is a little pricey, though they are periodically on sale. (Got mine for $399)

Overall Review: - Being a TN panel, the viewing angles are not the best, but it makes little to no difference if you're sitting directly in front of your monitor. - If your looking for a 1440p monitor to be primarily used for gaming, especially FPS's, this is a phenomenal monitor. If you're not interested in the 1440p resolution take a look at the MG248Q or the VG248QE which are ASUS 1080p monitors. After owning this monitor for a month, the display has not degraded. There are no dead pixels and no backlight bleeds anywhere. Now this will not be the the case with every monitor. Asus's Quality Control and Customer Service has been sub par recently. If you do not want to deal with the possibility of an RMA, expand your options and look at other monitors.

Amazing DDR3 Memory

G.SKILL TridentX Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-2400C10D-16GTX
G.SKILL TridentX Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-2400C10D-16GTX

Pros: - Has superb performance - Low latency and high frequency for DDR3 - Colors and heatsink look nice

Cons: None

Overall Review: This memory module performs very well, as you can probably tell from the overwhelming positive reviews. If you purchase this just make sure your motherboard and CPU support the frequency.

Phenomenal 1080p Monitor

ASUS VG248QE 24" Full HD 1920 x 1080 1ms (GTG) 144Hz DVI-D HDMI DisplayPort Built-in Speakers Asus Eye Care with Ultra Low-Blue Light & Flicker-Free Backlit LED NVIDIA 3D Gaming Monitor
ASUS VG248QE 24" Full HD 1920 x 1080 1ms (GTG) 144Hz DVI-D HDMI DisplayPort Built-in Speakers Asus Eye Care with Ultra Low-Blue Light & Flicker-Free Backlit LED NVIDIA 3D Gaming Monitor

Pros: - 144 Hz refresh rate - 1 ms GTG and low input lag - Built in Speakers

Cons: - Poor viewing angle, but not a problem if you sit in front of your monitor

Overall Review: This is an awesome 1080p gaming monitor. The price isn't to bad and the can often be found on sale. There are versions with Free-Sync and G-Sync if your willing to pay a bit more. I've had 2 of these monitors for almost 3 years and they still work great. They were manufactured back when ASUS had much better Quality Control. If you purchase this monitor you'll have little to no chance of having a defective monitor.
