Snappy and beautiful
Pros: You can place this on your legs or a leather chair or anywhere and it doesn't start getting hot and overheating because it doesn't intake the air from the bottom so it stays cool where ever it is. Very nice build quality. I really enjoy the metalic brown finish. I have got compliments about how nice it looks (I travel a lot). Powerful graphics and CPU that work very well together and can play games with ease for the price e.g. League of Legends at 60fps. SD card reader is very handy. I can get the battery to last over 4 hours and 30 minutes.
Cons: Trackpad is interesting to get use to but since it is all flat and hard to tell where the buttons are when looking at the screen. You have to look down and make sure your fingers line up correctly once in a while. But I mastered it in a few days so don't let that stop you.
Overall Review: Windows 7 Pro included has some bloatware that does slow this laptop down a lot. But I did a clean install of windows 7 and it's very fast and smooth now.
I expected much more
Pros: TLDR: I returned this adapter and concluded that the RT-N56U router in "Gaming Blaster" mode and my BUILT IN laptop wifi has the lowest ping in all my gaming test (using a dv6 hp laptop with windows 7 64bit) I found the software and drivers to be easy and work fine. I really liked how nice it looked (but hated how big and bulky it was).
Cons: I am comparing the following conclusions to my BUILT IN wifi on my laptop and compared to a few random wifi adapters in my other desktops. (Which none are 5GHz and my router is dual band RT-N56U) The range is not better then my built in wifi. The speed and latency and ping is all the same/or worse then my built in wifi. The size is massive for no improvement in any area compared to my built in laptop wifi.
Overall Review: I want to be honest with the gamer community because that is probably most of the people interested in this product. I am a heavy gamer myself and play league of legends and dota and the typical "if you don't have good ping, you die" style of games. So first off let me tell you I have the ASUS RT-N56U Dual Band N600 Wireless Router so this is full force 5ghz technology. Well before I bought the RT-N56U router I had a little encore wireless N router and would always have exactly 105 pin on LoL. But when I bought just the RT-N56U router and used it with my laptop BUILT IN wireless adapter it dramatically dropped to 85-89 ping. I was shocked so I thought maybe the 5GHz adapter would even help more since my BUILT IN laptop wifi is NOT 5GHz. But let me tell you, the adapters running in 5GHz didn't help at all, in fact it was stable at 95 ping running at 5GHz.
Pros: It has the fastest speeds for the 2.5 SSD Sata III range. It has the lowest power consumption for the 2.5 SSD Sata III range. If your not sold on this product already then just keep researching and you will definitely come back to this one in the end.
Overall Review: I am still amazed at how fast all my laptops and desktops starts up now... All the hype about SSDs being really really realy fast is actually true!
This is exactly what I wanted
Pros: Very nice looking on the shelf. 5 antennas total and excellent range for built in antennas. Simultaneous dual band. Tons of technical settings in firmware that most routers don't have. Also "Gaming Blaster" mode surprisingly works well. I thought it was a gimmick but my ping is actually lower in games like league of legends then without it being enabled.
Cons: The USB is very very picky. I could never get my 2Tb WD hard drive to work because it would always say "unmounted" no matter how many times I replugged it in or wiped it or anything. I ended up just connecting it to my server computer and just sharing all the files in the windows 7 homegroup which works just as good for my situation since I really just wanted the 300MBs wireless speed for transferring files between computers wirelessly and the really long range connection so I don't need my repeaters anymore.
Overall Review: I highly recommend this for a simultaneous dual band router and for really good ping for gaming and also if you don't need the usb ports because they are very unreliable with some devices.
Impessively high quality cord and look
Pros: The cord is what really is impressive. The cord is fabric and very strong and flexible. Anti-kink and good insulation. But besides the impressive cord, the rest of the headset is very nice looking and high quality style for only ten dollar. (Notice I said high quality STYLE and LOOKS, not speakers or sound)
Cons: Well I don't really expect amazing sound for ten dollars. But this headset definitely needed some equalizer editing to sound ok. Thankfully I mostly use my beats audio laptop so it has a built-in equalizer for all the sounds that I hear (including games and such) so I was able to get everything to sound crisp and perfect mid and bass at the same time. In the end I am very very happy with this headset. Just make sure you consult an "audio smart" person to help you set-up an equalizer to make everything sound SO much better.
Overall Review: I have broken so so so many expensive gaming headsets and nice headphones from always something to do with the cord ripping, shredding, kinking and so on. On a side note: I have always used a ear-covering headset for everything so I don't really notice anymore discomfort when it comes to headsets because I'm so use to them. So I wouldn't be reliable to rate this on a comfort level. On another side note, I got this for free because newegg gave me a nice gift card for buying so much from them... so it's hard to complain.
Great case but typical front audio
Pros: -Very sweet looking if you have hardware to show off on the inside. -The side window is tinted pretty dark blue but clear enough to see led lights or uv glowing parts so it looks nice and not messy. -Extremely easy no tools needed except screwing on the motherboard. -One of my fastest to build cases with all of the parts from the boxes into this case in less then 30 minutes.
Cons: Everything on this case was perfect EXCEPT the front audio is grounded incorrectly which makes a static/humming noise from just the front 3.5mm jack with headphones. I recommend getting some type of extra 3.5mm front connection maybe bundled with an all-in-one memory card reader.
I requested a return and it was approved so I shipped it back to them within the return window. The tracking number proves it was received within the return window. I waited 3 months for them to process the return only to have it denied because they think it's past the return window now. Unbelievable.
