Pros: Super fast! I have SATAII and Windows 7 boots in 30 sec (would be faster without the startup logo and if I could type the password quicker). Super cool! I did a ghost of my previous drive, after I shrunk the partition, and it was barely warm.
Cons: Wish that the 2.5" to 3.5" converter used HD screws instead of the DVD and floppy sized screws to mount in the case.
Overall Review: Still amazingly fast at SATAII, will have to upgrade to SATAIII to get the full experience.
Doesn't support FreeBSD or Linux
Pros: Is an 8 port SATA Controller.
Cons: Highpoint doesn't have working drivers for Linux or FreeBSD unlike the Rocketraid of the same model. They provide a universal makefile and wish you the best of luck. I bought this because everyone was buying the Rocketraid and flashing with non RAID bios. I figured that I would just buy a non RAID card and skip flashing the bios. My mistake!
Overall Review: It's amazing that the other feedback post claimed RAID 6 on a non RAID controller. Make sure you buy the Rocketraid since Rocket is new and Highpoint really isn't ready to provide drivers pre-compiled for any OS but Windows.
Great Phone Headset
Pros: Great headset for a low cost phone solution. Good sound and the USB is nice so you can still use your sound card for something else.
Cons: I wouldn't suggest this as a gaming headset especially since the sound is Mono. Also this headset does start to wear out with continual use; but so does everything.
Overall Review: I run a company providing phones and soft phone solutions and of the many headsets I've gone through this is the best for soft phones (Yahoo, IM, Google Talk, and Skype) if all you're doing is making phone calls.
