Good but not great
Pros: Install is easy, just connect to a free mobo usb port, screw the unit into your 3.5 cage and your done. Windows recognized the unit right away and assigned drive letters to each of the 5 slots. Extra usb connection on the front of the PC is great. Internal reader is nice - more desk room for my toys! It's black, like my PC case, so that's cool.
Cons: Directions say you can hot swap unit, but I say do not install on a running PC! When I installed the unit on a hot PC a HDD drive that was in use was overwritten and assigned to this card reader. I lost access to the HDD all together until I uninstalled the card reader, turned off the PC, re-installed and booted back into windows. Looks like the unit draws power even when my pc is off because lights on the drive stay lite up when pc is off.
Overall Review: All in all the card reader is a great deal if your looking to either replace an existing reader or get rid of an external card reader (like I wanted to do). The drive assignment issue turned out to be an easy fix, but if you say you can hot swap then do it right and not have drives disappear.
pass on this one
Pros: Set-up was pretty easy.
Cons: I am very dissapointed with thie router. My old linksys WRTG54G died after years of service, and I bought this to replace it. The price was right, and I got a B/G/N router. All was fine the 1st month, then all of the sudden the router starts to turn itself off for no reason. I unplug it and plug it back in, and it work again. This process has been repeated more times than I can count. It's happened twice today alone, prompting me to write this review.
Overall Review: This is not the first Belkin product I've been burned on, but it will be the last.
Utter garbage
Pros: The set up was easy, N speeds were good (when the router worked)
Cons: Evey thing else. Once the set up was over, things went down hill fast. The router would turn it self off randomly. It would just "stop" broadcasting it's wi-fi signal. It would just "stop" acting as a modem. I reloaded the software 3 or 4 times, still did not help. No amount of resetting/power cycling would get this router to work. I contacted Belkin and their "fix" was lterally a 2.5 page paper that had 6 or 6 power cycles, resets, and updates. No thanks. I can honestly say there was not one week that went by when for a day or so I had no wi-fi because of this product. DO NOT BUY!
Overall Review: I had reservations about buying a Belkin router, and I guess I should have listened to those thoughts more as this was a horrible 3 months of on again/off again home wi-fi. I can honestly say I will never buy another Belkin product again. I just picked up a Linksys N router, which is what I should have bought the first time.
Waste of Money
Pros: Nothing comes to mind
Cons: Where to start...I live between two major metropolitan areas so the airwaves in my area are crowded. This device does not have the power to transmit on any FM frequency in my area. Every channel has static, frequently this unit will lose the signal from my ipod and will be drowned out by a competing signal from another source. Often the unit will not detect the audio from my ipod and I never even hear my music/podcasts.
Overall Review: Had a old Belkin that lasted 5+ years before going flaky on me, so I figured I's stick with them and I decided I try this newer Belkin model. I completely regret purchasing this unit as it does not appear to work in crowded FM airwaves.
