Pros: Support USB 3.0. Comes with a back-up software. There is really nothing special about this hard drive and that goes same for pretty much any hard drives out there. There are 8 different color/finish you can choose from. Which makes this hard drive stand out more than others. 3 year warranty is great as many competitors have only 1 year warranty and hard drives, especially external ones tends to be more fragile. The hard drive comes with built in hardware encryption. Which is big plus if you store sensitive data on your hard drive. It does require WD software installation though.

Cons: 1TB not a large hard drive in today's standard, but it is slimmer than 2TB or larger models. If 1TB is more than enough for your purpose, it will be a great choice. For video storage, I'd recommend larger models for just a little more.

Pros: Rubber mounting for the fan reduces vibration greatly. I had 80 mm and 92 mm version of it previously and I was pleased with them.

Cons: Fan blade is not well balanced. The fan is vibrating badly. If it wasn't for the rubber mount, it would have created very loud noise. I did not have problem with their fans before. Rubber mount does take care of vibration, but that does not mean it is ok to have unbalanced fan.

Pros: Step by step guides and many useful filters from standard Photoshop and premier. One time purchase, not subscription.

Cons: Guided/automated filters don't work very well on it's own. Requires Adobe account to install and login to use the program.

Overall Review: This photoshop elements and premier elements bundle is a good alternative to full priced versions. Photoshop elements are striped down version of standard Photoshop. Although it is stripped down version, it still has most functions of full version most people will use. Quick mode is the easiest mode to just simply apply enhancement filters to picture in adjustment window. Guided mode is where you can easily edit or fix the pictures. However, many of the filters don't work correctly without some human intervention. This is also true for full version of Photoshop, so not really the problem with Elements. Advance mode is where you can find most used function of full version of Photoshop. It closely resembles full version of photoshop and supports layers like in full version of photoshop. Premier elements is also stripped down version of Adobe Elements. I haven't used full version of Premier, so I cannot really compare how it is to the full version of elements. It does have some learning curb, but editing video is not too hard. However, it seems to lack filters to the video itself. Premier also does not support mkv files, which is true for full version of Premier as well. When purchased separately I don't think Premier elements is a good deal on it's own. Although it may not be as easy to use, there are many other free video editing program just as good as Premier elements. However, when purchased as bundle with Photoshop elements, I'd say it is worth it. It is just $149.99 for both.

Pros: Fast speed, great capacity, reasonable price.

Cons: Lacks heat spreader or heat sink.

Overall Review: This SSD has very impressive performance for the price. It is not the lowest price compared to SSD in same class from other manufacturers, but price difference is not that great. CrystalDiskMark reigstered 3506.05 MB/s sequential read and 3147.23 MB/s sequential write, which is very impressive speed. Random 4k test, which is more closer to real life usage, showed impressive speeds as well (see screen shots). Heat spreader would been a nice addition, but not really necessary under normal uses.

Pros: Compact size and light weight. It comes with lots of accessories. Blade cuts hair easy.

Cons: Carrying case is cheaply made. There is no seal/isolation between blade and motor output shaft. This could lead to hair and dust collection in this area, but because it is greased and cannot be cleaned under water it is not easy to keep it clean.

Overall Review: Overall, it is pretty good cordless trimmer for less than $20. Carrying case could been made a little better. It is not just made cheap, but barely big enough to fit everything in. Cotton or nylon fabric bag would been better. My biggest concern with this trimmer is that there is no seal or isolation between motor output shaft area and blade. Output shaft is greased, so hair will stick on to this shaft and hair will also collect in this chamber. There also is no seal between this output shaft chamber and the rest of the assembly. I would expect there will be hair collected inside trimmer assembly as well. But than, for price of $20, it probably was never designed to last long. It should last well worth $20.

Pros: Very easy to setup with just push of button. For initial setup, you don't even have to push any button. I was able to get over 100Mbps. It has very nice web interface with capability to change or set many configurations.

Cons: You have to have both devices on receptacles with same phase. You will get very slow or no connection if you plug them to different phase. Existence of web interface is not written in the manual. Runs pretty hot. Web interface actually shows temperature of each components, and PLC was running at 81C.

Overall Review: I was very surprised on how easy it was to setup this device. It was basically just plug and play. The result is very dependent on where you plug your transmitter and receiver. In order to get a usable speed you must be on the same phase. With most houses and businesses in the US supplied with split phase or 3 phase, this will cause problem for many consumers. By plugging into different phases, I was only getting around 1.5 to 2 Mbps. The signal has to travel to active 240V appliances or all the way back to the transformer. This will cause problem. However, if your manage to find receptacles on same phase, you will able to get 50+Mbps. The installation manual does not explain how to change SSID or WPA key. It only explains how to configure with just push of buttons. It seemed very odd to find not able to change SSID. It turns out these devices actually have very nice web interfaces. Both devices are set to use DHCP by default. So, you will have to check client list on your router to find IP address. There is no password set by default. This may be just fine for residential uses. However, this may be a security issue in business setup since anybody with IP address and on same network can change settings. In web interface, you can configure pretty much all the settings available in most routers. You can change wifi settings, setup guest network, parental control, scan neighboring wifi networks, etc.. You can even turn off or reduce brightness of LEDs. It is also possible to choose power line communication protocols. Default is set to auto and VDSL 17a. This web interface should have been explained in the manual.
