Pros: Build quality.
Ease of typing.
Great back lighting.
Cons: The only thing I don't like in this keyboard is the Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock indicator lights, which are a bright white and not included in the lighting custom lighting settings. A few drops of transparent paint will fix this.
Overall Review: I've had Razer peripherals for years. After my replacement mouse started suffering the double-click of death and the keyboard started getting overly mushy (non-mechanical), it was time to replace them. My old Lycosa keyboard was great for gaming, but not so much for touch typing. I abandoned Logitech many years ago when they tried to reinvent their keyboards into bastardized versions of conventional layouts. I'm glad I gave them another chance. With their need to turn the keyboard industry on its head now over, they have embraced the ergonomic normal again.
This keyboard is a joy to game on and on which to type. Keys are semi-clicky and have great action and sound.
The software takes some time to get used to it, but it works almost flawlessly once you set it up to your liking. All the extra function keys work perfectly as well. Installing the software and drivers was quick and simple. Logitech is still pushing updates for their software too.
The back lighting is very well implemented and has customization zones, meaning you can combine colors into zones and not to individual keys. The backlighting is achieved through clear plastic injected into each black plastic key, so the characters won't become deformed from paint or coatings rubbing off.
The keyboard layout is “normal” and takes no adjustment period to familiarize or adjust your muscle memory to get up and running.
Pros: Short and sweet... RAM arrived quickly and packaged well. Installed into older system and was recognized correctly by the mb. While expensive, the price is reasonable when compared to other sellers. Great investment to keep my older gaming rig humming along.
Overall Review: Great for keeping my older gaming rig relevant.
Pros: Able to setup network and internet/remote printing via iPhone/Android/remote pc. Color accuracy is great. Print, scan, copy functions work great. Have not tested fax functions yet. Photo print looks fantastic when using photo paper.
Cons: It does seem to go through ink cartridges fairly quick. We've been ordering ink from Inkwow to cut down costs when Wally World doesn't have our preferred cartridges in stock. I will admit, that my school teacher wife does do a lot of printing.
Overall Review: If you can find good deals on refurb ink or generic ink cartridges and your do a lot of printing, them try this one.
Pros: This is my second Imperator. My first one lasted about 6 years of heavy gaming abuse. I bought this version after purchasing a few other brands and found them lacking. One of which was from a reputable company that was just a P o S. The brand second was good, but seemed more suited for work rather than gaming. This current Imperator has lasted a few years now of heavy gaming and work-related use.
I use both palm and finger tip grips and sometimes a mixed grip. Any which way I use it, it is always precise and comfortable, even after hours of smiting my enemies or experiment videos.
The adjustable position buttons on side are a great option. The whole body is plastic, but the sides feel slightly different than the rest of the body. I've never experienced any issues with buttons or pointer errors with this mouse.
The construction feels solid and the braided cloth cable is great for flexibility and is of sufficient length to be used with large installations and with large desks.
Cons: The mouse may be a little light for some people, as I prefer a slightly heavier mouse. I did, however, become accustomed to the weight after a day or so if usage.
Overall Review: I would suggest using the Razer Synapse application for managing your Razer peripherals, as well. It makes adjustments easier and managing game profiles so much easier. On the fly DPI adjustments are a great feature for use in gaming and fine pointer adjustments for work.
Pros: Well made - great construction.
Brighter than bright.
Nice adjustable zoom.
Power button on back is recessed enough to stand the light up on that end without issue,
Cons: I looked into the light :(
Pros: Works as advertised.
No issues with data transfer or power.
Decent quality cable.
Cons: Cable is a little stiff, for those that want a more flexible cable.
Pros: Worked OK for a few months before issues arose. First up, the on/off switch began to malfunction. Opened up the keyboard and re-affixed the USB cord. A month later, the "J" key would fail to register more often than not. Threw it in the trash after I bought a different brand KB.
Cons: cheap, unreliable construction with failing internals.
Pros: Great quality and of nice construction. Products works as advertised and the two purchased will be serving as backup disks. Installation on one PC was plug-n-play, whereas the other PC gave a small bit of problems getting it installed (Win 7 Home 64). Ran the Windows Troubleshooter and it fixed the issue preventing the drive from being seen by Windows. Works at advertised speeds and they both seem to be reliable.
Cons: The USB 3.0 cable is short, so you will want to order an extension cable. Keep in mind that the HDD case connection is a USB 3.0 Type B (SuperSpeed) connector, so your best option is to just order a 3.0 extension cable.
Overall Review: The bright blue light calls to me.
I want to go to it.
Become one with it.
Pros: Quality construction. Nice thick cables. Female end covered, which helps inadvertent metal on metal contact to other components.
Cons: No issues what so ever.
Pros: Solid quality construction. Nice thick cable with excellent connector construction. Works are advertised specs.
Cons: Despite having ordered a pair of these started to be blue in color, mine arrived in the black variety. I used some blue heat shrink wrap to mark the ends for USB 3.0 and also used it on the bare metal connections to protect the connections to the HDDs' cables. Minus one start for wrong color.
Pros: Low profile and operates at rated speed. BIOS auto detected this second set that I installed alongside my first set from two years ago. Have never had an issue installing "unmatched" pairs of RAM from different batches or even, in my Wife's case, two separate manufacturer's pair of RAM sticks alongside of one another. In my case, I had the 1st pair in Slots 1 & 3 and installed this second pair in Slots 2 & 4. The low profile is great for fitting under my CM V6 CPU cooler. According to Asus AI Suite, these sticks never get very warm under load, either.
Pros: Good quality, works as intended and was easy to attach. Came well packaged and shipped quickly. Fits zoom lens perfectly.
Pros: Does what it is supposed to do, block glare and protect lens. Good quality plastic and easy to attach.
Pros: Decent speeds and works as advertised. I had an issue where I didn't bother to read my camera's supported card types and could not get it to format in my camera (minus two eggs on me for that!), but I emailed SCT on Memorial Day weekend and they responded twice to me, on Friday and Saturday! That was impressive. Decided to keep the card for other purposes.
Cons: The only issue I had, aside from my self-created issue, was that the write protect switch was not recognized by all card readers I used, so I put a little scotch tape over, which fixed the issue.
Overall Review: Aside from the write-protect issue, which was remedied, the card works at advertised speeds and SCT's Tech Support was incredibly efficient!
Pros: Quality construction and matches my SilverStone Fortress Series FT02 perfectly. Easy install and looks great. Not using the SSD tray, but did a test fit just to check it out.
Pros: Works great. No problems. Don't miss Flash at all. Games look great and it is speedy. The keyboard addon is well worth it - extra storage and battery, and works like as touchscreen laptop. well worth the money.
Cons: No Flash, but oh well.
Pros: Worked for a year then died. Lousy construction, but then again, it doesn't cost a lot.
Cons: Died after a year of light usage.
Overall Review: Since it is cheap and the lights on it are all blue, it matched my second build's color scheme, I bought another one anyway. Only because of the price did I venture a second unit. If it dies, I'll buy a more expensive one.
Pros: It's blue. It plugs into what it's supposed to. It works.
Overall Review: Yup. It's still blue and still works after a year.
Pros: Dropped it in and worked at advertised speeds. No problems what so ever.
Pros: Works just as well as the original manufaturer's battery that accompanies it.
Pros: This case is amazing. You can stuff a lot of thingsinto it. DSLR camera, three lenses, Camcorder and all the accessories for both. Packs of smokes, cans of soda and a bag of peanuts, plus room for notebooks, pens, markers, small tripod and we're ready for the game! Great customization options within it, to fit all your needs. Everything is well padded and protected from the elements.
Cons: not a single one
Overall Review: We've had this bag in the pouring rain with a grand worth of digital equipment in it and other things. Not a single drop got into it.
Pros: Looks great and does what it advertises.
Cons: One of the knobs was a bit loose compared to the others when first received. After a few years of operation, that same knob's LED no longer lights, neither blue nor red. Tried to fix it, but it still won't light.
Overall Review: Worked well when first installed. After a few years, expect the LEDs to start failing. Zalman seems to be suffering from quality issues, not only in this products, but others, reading from customer reviews. I'm staying away from this company for future builds until they get their act together.
Pros: Design. Braided Cord. Build Quality.
Cons: Lousy Bass Handling. Size/Adjustments.
Try as I could, I could not make enough EQ sound card adjustments to handle any respectable amount of bass without them breaking up. Music and games at a low volume sound great, but turn them up to a medium/moderate level and the sound starts to break up horribly. This headset is HUGE. I have a medium-sized head and had them on the smallest fit possible, but they felt as if they were about to fall off. These were made for Cromagnon melon heads, not normal head sizes.
Overall Review: All my other gear from this company is fantastic, but these fall way short in acceptable performance. I ended picking up a TB EarForce X12 and am pleased with them. Much better sounding and capabilities.
Pros: Everything works, eventually...
Cons: I would say this is kind of a garbagy MB. For what I needed it to do, it did. Nothing special and no gaming. It was a pain to get this thing working properly though. Booting this thing up is a pain if you decide to turn it off or power cycle it. At first I thought it was the power supply, but the power supply works fine when powering another system. Sometimes you have to unplug the power for 2 minutes before you can fire it back up again. The BIOS is decent enough for setting up the RAM and boot options - no problems there.
Overall Review: Not really impressed with this board, but it has been rock solid running 7 months almost continuously.
Pros: Works like a keyboard should. Easy enough to type for someone who types on seven or eight keyboards a day.
Cons: They can be a little loud when used by an aggressive typer.
